Match Thread V's Hastings United

The match against Hastings United tomorrow will be an intriguing match! After a near record run the Terrors have lost two on the bounce conceding last minute winners. Solely for morale boasting purposes, the  victory  at Carshalton on Monday was most welcome, even if it was in a meaningless game.  losing two league games in a row has been a bitter blow for the Terrors league hopes. From a superior League Leaders position, Dorking have now taken over that spot, and other teams, some with games in hand,  are now queuing up behind Tooting.
At this time there is not a truly dominant team in the league, Although Dorking Wanderers seem to  be in a position to take charge, and with Greenwich Borough are making key  investment in players for their drive for success.
The Terrors have a  good team, as results have proved. The loss of striker Dunn is a blow, but it's not the end of the world. The defence needs to tighten up and close down the game, silly mistakes have to  be eradicated, and scoring opportunities have to  be put away, as shown in the nine winning run streak.

As "Bog End" Observed, two highest scoring teams meet in the league tomorrow. A 1-0 victory is all that is required. We have already entered the critical league period, and we need to  restore our good fortune. there are two other important leagues tomorrow:-

Corinthian Casuals V Greenwich Borough
Whyteleafe  V's Dorking Wanderers.

The results from these games will have a big impact on the Xmas period.

We have had some interesting battles with Hastings over the years, none more so than the 2006/7 South play off final when we lost 2-0 at home. Two seasons ago at home in front of 191 fans we drew  1-1.  How times have changed , our team that day was :-

Alex Kozakis, Harry Knock, Alex Filipe (Saidou Khan), David Graves, Saidou Khan, Lewis Gonsalves, Bash Alimi,( Francis Quarm), Stefan Cox, Sol Pinnock, Billy Marshall, Dan Summers,
Leon Lalor-Dell (Nathan Gordon).

Can our renovated and revitalised team produce the goods tomorrow
