FACup - more questions than answers

So, it's Horley Town in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
All we need to know now is when the tie will be played.
Bets on for either Friday 24th @ 7:45 or Sunday 26th @ 3:00pm ?? (Dulwit Helmets are at home on OUR pitch on Saturday 25th !!)
p.s. IF the tie is on Sunday 26th then our Bank Holiday Monday home match with Chipstead will be postponed - and would it be postponed if Horley Town take us to a replay which might be played at their place on Tuesday 28th ??? .......... or could we end up playing them on Thursday 30th or even Tuesday 4th September ??

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left !

Re: FACup - more questions than answers

No Mike - FA Cup Preliminary Round
Probably a 7:45pm kick off I would think..........but it all depends upon agreement with Horley Town.

Re: FACup - more questions than answers

FA ruling where the game cannot be played on the Saturday because of a groundshare is that it must be played either on the Friday or the Sunday. However if the teams cannot agree between them then the FA’s default is that the game is played on the Sunday. No guarantees but my gut feeling is that it will be Friday otherwise both clubs will lose their Bank Holiday Monday fixture

Re: FACup - more questions than answers

It's simple that we should play it on the Friday as we have a game on Monday
