Nothing every changes. This club is a disgrace, Steve or should I say Mr Adkins has no interest in this club and he will be delighted if they get demoted next season. How you all put up with it I don't know.

Forgive me if I am wrong but I believe we haven't a reserve team, no doubt Mr Adkins cannot afford it, but if we had a reserve team surely it would be far better moving forward. We could have a half decent first team and any player in the reserve looking good would then get a chance of a first team game. The jump from academy to first team and hoping we will win matches, is just not on and shows no ambition and even demotion.
They get rid of Frank and put his assistant in charge. Cheap option and failure, no disrespect to him but he hasn't the experience.

Lets turn the clock back a year, we were all eagerly awaiting the start of the season in the Bostick Premier. Most of us thought a mid table finish would be a great result. After our first game against Brightlingsea we all knew it was going to be a struggle, but not one that meant going back down. But now we know.
Mr Adkins is a business man through and through and I believe that he would rather not have a football team than have one. We had a chance last season to build on our previous years success, improve crowds and start getting a buzz at this football club again. Sadly we are at an all time low now, crowds will be pathetic this season and moral at an all time low. I have supported this club as long as our President, we haven't heard from him on this site lately by the way, and he would tell you there haven't been many high points, but yes there have been some. This is not a friendly club, and I for one, after all these years supporting this club through difficult times, feel that if Mr Adkins did pull out it might do us all a favour and we can start to pursue other activities . There are many clubs out there with ambition, perhaps it's time for me to call it a day at this club, I know that not one single person at T&M will notice I have even gone.
So from steadily increased crowds that would  have continued if we had stayed up, now we will be lucky to get out of double figures.
Look at our forum and compare it to years back, how many posts do we get now, you get the same handful of names time after time. Where for instance is Bondy's words of wisdom? There is a lack of interest of course now but it would have certainly been different had things gone better last season and the excitement would have been there for all to see.
As I said it is just another business for Mr Adkins and one I don't think he really wants. I am still up for a chat with him or any member if they care not to ignore me.

I couldn't agree with you more BEU. Likewise I have put shed loads of money over the years, not appreciated of course. I have tried to talk to Steve on many occasions, he doesn't want to know. Are we ever made to feel welcome? No.
Are we not allowed our opinion? I think with what I have put in over the years I am entitled to air my views whether DP or anyone else likes it or not.

I notice alphabetically we are 16th out of 20 in our new super league. I wonder if that is where we will finish?

Sadly it is no longer in our hands. If Burgess Hill win on Saturday it doesn't matter what we do we are relegated.

that's what we need from our manager tomorrow and for the rest of our games. He seems as lost as the players. That's 3 postings in the last 10 minutes, this club always gets you stressed (apart from last year of course)

Bondy you are not being specific about where our points might come from because deep down you just cannot see it happening. Didn't expect from someone I hold in great esteem your comment about Burgess Hills ground. They like most teams are up against it when it comes to finances and they are making the most of what they have got.
The team seem deflated and the jury's out as to whether Frank is a half decent manager. Last year we were heaping raise on him but this season he seems not to have a clue. What has changed in a year?

We never have really got going this season. It is so sad having such a good previous season. Would have expected us to have survived but cannot now see it happening.
What does this do to the disappearing support for next season?

Just another point. I wasn't there today but I do feel so sorry for all the fans that turn up at these away fixtures. Whether it be Leatherhead, Lowestoft or Worthing, both near and far and what agony at the end of it and it goes on and on. Dorking had a nice win today, how come they can survive very easily in adapting to this league and we can't?

3-0 another defeat. What has happened to us this season? Is it Paul leaving perhaps? I cannot see us staying up. Both Burgess Hill and Harlow winning, if they can do it then why can't we?

Any chance of posting this link on the Dulwich forum?

with everyone depressed at our performance's I'm sure, I thought I would take a look at our attendance this season compared with last season.

So 8 home league games played, last season total attendance 1531.
This season after 8 games, 1885. That's something like an increase of 23%. Not bad???? Not sure myself but if we had been playing better then that percentage would be much higher. Supporters are a very fickle lot.

On a positive we have 2 games ahead that will attract a large crowd, Dulwich and Billericay. If we can only stay up this season then perhaps results will improve next season the so will the crowds.

Of course by coming up to the Premier division we need bigger gates to pay for a bigger budget, so is the 23% good enough or will the 2 plum games get us out of trouble financially and help our playing budget?

Well I did go. Not many Terror supporters either. The weather was grim and the match just a little better. Cannot fault the team for effort but we never looked like scoring. The inevitable goal for Burgess Hill in the first half, then we pressed high up the field without threatening their goal. They were always going to score on the breakaway.
Burgess Hill were a poor side and when Joe got sent off the consensus in the crowd, surrounded by Hillians, was that they would score 3 or 4 more, however the team didn't seem interested in scoring anymore much to the frustration in the stand. Billy didn't really get tested.  but good on him to take it on. They also must have done there homework for every time Billy got the ball, when he was not in goal, they were on him and stopped him  from shooting. No Jake or Mike today and is Kevin still suspended?
I though we would win this as I though we would beat Needham and Brightlingsea. We should be beating teams like this. Both Brightlingsea and Dorking are doing better than us.

25th August 2008 we played Sutton, it was our fourth game after being promoted into the Ryman Premier and it was our 1st win (4-2).
Can this be repeated tomorrow?
