I picked a random team from the Combined Counties league that we may end up in, Farnham.  They are charging £99 for a season ticket, £60 for concessions.  Or £7 on the door, £4 for concessions.  Their “local” derby against Camberley saw a crowd of 434.

How can Adkins, together with his cronies, treat the supporters in this way?

The new first team playing staff have been employed by the same person who employed Billy and George, and, Frank and Paul.  They had the carpet pulled from under them as their reward for success.

Let’s see where we are in five years time before we get excited about a new era at the club which is controlled by Adkins.

One more thing: has the promoting of inadequate youth to the first team been knocked on the head or will Jamie be required to fulfil a given quota?

It is far too early to get carried away when considering the club’s recent history.

The games against Tadley look like the pick of the bunch.

It’s all irrelevant.  Sadly, football is about money today.  For us to get back to step 4 and, hopefully, beyond will require a total reversal in the way that the club is run.  I am not holding my breath waiting for Adkins to put the first team at the forefront of what goes on at his Imperial Fields empire.

As much as I admire Jamie, his appointment makes little difference unless the whole ethos of the club from the top down changes.

A good start would be an announcement from the club stating that Ashley has absolutely NO say in the running and direction of the first team.

I agree with you Andy.

Can you imagine, say, Hayden Bird rocking up to Adkins’ office and being told that his decisions would have to be run by Ashley first?  I doubt very much that the interview would go any further.

I’m sorry Gary, but he has to go. He cannot have any influence in the clubs direction.  He has no idea of what is needed in a first team.  I don’t care how good he is with developing youth, he has no place in the clubs first team.
