Bumper crowds on the way then, South Park, East Grinstead, Dorking, Molesey and Chatham. Must get my season ticket early!

Can't wait for South Park away again, my worst trip from last season.

............and that was just the trip from the bar to the pitch - sorry, cabbage patch.

Not a lot of fun awaydays next season.
Offline
Peacehaven is a lovely day out

A lot of people don't realise that the Ryman League dropped the "1" out of our division name at the start of last season and we are officially Ryman League Division South (although I prefer South Division).

When you drink as much as me, Joe and Alan do, they're ALL a lot of fun (hic) Cheers
Would you like an umbrella in your cocktail Alan old chap ?
Guernsey away........doesn't come any more fun than that, even at Pro level.

There are a couple of good trips. Guernsey, Whitstable and Peacehaven. Maybe Herne Bay. But its not going to be a classic away season!
Offline
Not forgetting Hastings, my fav. trip, but lets have it on a Saturday next season, Ryman please. Also Whitstable on a Saturday also good. South Park, Dorking etc are just fine in the week.

I do not know what you mean Cricket, you know I will not drink and drive, much?
Let us hope that Guernsey away is subject to very good weather again, like the last two
Offline
The drinking and driving is not a worry... It's the glue sniffing at the games that worries us all....

May I be so bold as to suggest you try ' olbas oil ' Al, as although I'm not medically trained I think the industrial strength adhesive you've been known to sniff at matches might just be the cause of your halucinations and mood swings.

Dorking Wanderers is a great view
Offline
I will certainly give that a try "Doc".
Chezzer, like you I thought Dorking Wanderers, when we played them in a pre-season friendly three seasons ago was great spot, but I thought they had now moved closer to town.

East Grinstead going up would be a disgrace!
Offline
Their not going up Marlon, just reprieved, which if you see their ground, I for one are not unhappy, now teams such as South Park, I would not be sorry if they were to go back down, as it is not much better than a park facility.
Offline
Agreed. Of the teams that have come up to the Ryman League in recent seasons from the Sussex and Combined Counties Leagues I would say that East Grinstead have one of the better facilities
Offline
Have Dorking Wanderers improved their bar facilities ? Last time I was there they were knocking out cans of Fosters from a garden shed !
Offline
I believe the shed now has a lift up flap to aid service Andy.

An excellent upgrade Alan, I'm now looking forward to it. A good view of the Surrey Hills as well if I remember rightly. The brewery of the same name is worth a visit.

Their certainly is Andy, a very pleasant ground. When we played them last time their chairman was cooking burgers on the barbecue. I wonder if that has been upgraded as well.

Don't forget that Dorking Wanderers aren't the same team as Dorking who we played about 10 years ago. The Wanderers have made a somewhat meteoric rise over the last decade.
