Anyone have any updates who's staying or going.
Also am I right in confirming Dan Summers is the only one that as stated in staying?
Also Nathan Gordon and Howard Newton leaving

Nothing official Chezz - only what Mr Walker has posted on Facebook based on what his contacts have told him! - although I have been told that at present Dan Summers has said he intends to be staying.
As we all know though, at our level, players tend not to complete their registrations until about a week before the season starts so I'm sure that during July we shall see many faces come and then go and others that sign up at the last minute when they are cut from teams at a higher level

Tim, can we not make Dan an offer he can not refuse, by sending the "Tooting Youth" to visit him, just to explain what will the consequences be if he is not wearing the Black & White stripes next season
Offline
Don't worry Al. Dan will be with us next season.
Frank and Mark are working hard to assemble a good squad.

I knew the threat of the "Tooting Youth" would have the desired effect.
Their notoriety preceeds them

As Tim says, we won't know for certain who weve got till the first game of the season. I don't think Colin Hartburn appeared in any pre seasons last year, yet he was in the team for tne opener.
Having said that, Nathan Gordon has agreed to join Merstham.

Frankie Sawyer's door will be getting kicked in soon!

I have heard from a good source that Max Noble and Bash Alimi are staying as well, is this is true and looks goods then happy days. Three of our better players from the current team committing, something good must indeed be happening. May it continue!

Quite right., another two important players staying, if you are correct, I do hope so, Dan will only thrive on the service I would anticipate he would receive from Max.

Watch this space big signings coming.

Don't get me wrong Ashtree, I do like Messi but he hasn't proven himself at our level, the Champions League final is one thing but could he hack it on a cold Tuesday night in Sittingbourne ? I've got my reservations.

Do you mean with a big 6`6" centre half`s hand up his harris.

He must be 98, I agree he was a hanfull as a player, I remember watching him at Old Trafford, where he gave Pallister and Bruce a real hard time, but I can not see him doing the business now.

He's actally only 43 Ashtree, I say ONLY, but I'm sure the Fulham fans amongst us would be happy to see him try to reproduce the purple patch he enjoyed with The Cottagers. If we're going down that route though, Kerry Dixon is only 10 years his senior and provided he doesn't get banged up for kicking some blokes head in for calling him 'Fatso' in a Dunstable pub, I'd quite like to see a front pairing of Kerry and 'The Beast'. Sadly Ashtree we've missed the boat as regards the player my old Dad rated as the best he ever saw Georgie Best so we will have to make do with the closest thing to him, Max Noble.

Could not agree with you more, especially "Besty" the original, and still in my opinion the best, I know "Messi" is something special, but look at the pitches "Best" played on, especially winter time, then compare them with the billiard tables of the modern game, then compare the kind of tackles which were allowed back then, to the non contact sport they enjoy today. Sorry it is a no brainer for me.
Talking about hard men, how about a centre back pairing of "Lorimer" and Bobby Keetch, combined with a midfield of "Mackay" and " Robson " we would need an ambulance on permanent standby, that is if the opponents had the nerve to turn up.
Happy days!

The photo in the Metro of Kerry Dixon made him look like Father Jack... What a great story. The bloke he beat up had asked him earlier if he was a drug dealer...

He was always a bit of a donkey, perhaps they thought he was a "drugs mule"
