For what it's worth, Staines beat Woking 3-2 today

I would say that we controlled more than 50% of game, but just lacked that little bit extra in the box. 3-0 is rather flattering to Mersterham. Frankie, I believe got the first in a bit of goalmouth confsion. Reece Hall got the second with a decent lob, which to be honest, was the only real conribution that he made in the game. The final goal from Tommy Hutchens was off-side by a mile, even the Mersterham bench joked about it.
For me though, the highlight was Hamsey shouting "forward, forward, forward." I haven't heard that for over two years ad it was music to my ears!

Very pleased with the back four today, played as a unit and kept a good line, that is until the subsitutes came on, somebody needs to tell the no2 that just because you ask for an offside don`t stop running then look surprised when the lino or ref do not give it and their little fat boy runs on and scores ( Tommy Hutchins) he makes our Gary look slim! (no offence buddy) that was the kind of error you expect to see on the common.
As has been said the scoreline does not do the team justice, our forwards made there defence look very ordinary and through harrassing them, made them very prone to errors, and with a bit of luck we could have gone in at half timne with a 2 to 1 lead, sometimes tha ball just does not run for you, whereas Frankie new nothing about his goal as it rebounded off him into the goal, but that is football.
So far the squad seems to be forming nicely.
Bring on the Eagles.
