We know your playing away
And you can always have an off day
The long ball isn’t working
and we know the players aren’t shirking
But against Hythe you shouldn’t be losing away from home
You should be passing along the floor
Not up in the air shouting ‘FORE’
Instead your playing like the fairies
Like the second 11 at St Marys
Cos against Hythe you shouldn’t be losing away from home
Hythe are in the bottom four
We could be soon that’s for sure
A great club like ours is in a mess
But Adkins got the cash
He doesn’t give a care cos there plenty more there
But even he says
Against Hythe we shouldn’t be losing away from home

Thank god we have got one back
and no ones getting the sack
we have to keep on pressing
for Dales sake we cant be messing
because against Hythe we shouldnt be drawing away from home

I cant keep up with this
you have to be taking the ......
I am getting on to my lawyer
about our old player Sawyer
he left without a trace
and now he has scored a brace
I repeat against Hythe we should not be dropping points away from home

So it seems that now we learn from your funny little ditty
That you thought you had improved--well it wasn't very pretty
If you really think you did well then we don't really care
As our two best players just weren't there
So once more when it comes to Hythe versus Tooting
You always come off worse when the Cannons put the boot in.

As an afterthought from Hythe, have just heard that the Bog End is nothing to do with a natural feature but shall we say more about a building of some convenience.
If true that's great --I never guessed !!

Yes mate - although not at the new ground. The edifice in question was probably the rankest urinal that has ever existed. And it was "sheltered" by a couple of sheets of rusted corrugated iron. The approach was down some treacherously slippery concrete steps behind the big terrace..
The good old days.

There's a photo on our Facebook page. Look for the word Gents.

Along with being in the Allianz Arena to watch Chelsea crowned Champions of Europe having the privelage to splash my boots in the Gents at the Bog End is my proudest moment in football. An experience not for the faint hearted or anybody unsteady on their feet. Or squeamish.
