I thought we were a bit unlucky to come away with nothing after a spirited 2nd half showing last night. Unlike the home game against Hythe where we looked aimless, there did seem a pattern of play. But it is quite a dramatic change of style and its going to take the players a bit of time to adjust. We had more of the midfield and got plenty of bodies forward, but a mixture of good defending and luck of the bounce meant that we couldn't quite get the attempts on goal that our play warranted. When you are playing in tight areas in and around the box you all need to be on the same wavelength and we were just not quite there.
Whereas I was disappointed to lose the home game against Hythe because we were so poor, I was disappointed with last night';s defeat because we played quite well!

Also, my match report is in the match reports section.

If our budget is suppose to be one of the best in this league then surely losing 7 out of 13 games played is simply not good enough. No team has the right to expect to win games, but surely a budget the size we are lead to believe and the so called quality of players that brings in, losing to teams in the bottom half of the table is poor. All the teams we have played so far I don't think are promotion or play off contenders with possiability the exception of Carshalton (and they are experiencing the same as us). Saturday we play Hastings, one of the teams I expect to see finish in the top 5. I don't hold much hope for a good score and feel reluctant to rush home from work to attend.

Routemaster as we all know, money does not buy success, look at Carshalton the other season when "Dippy" was spending money as if it were water, he gave it up in the end, did not even last a season.
Looking at the season so far, we appear to have had a manager and a coach with two different ideas as to how they wanted us to play, now with Frank in charge ( and perhaps now he does not feel second best whan comparing his record with Mark`s) he is getting the team to play "his way" which is certainly more pleasing to the eye and hopefully will bring us the success we all look for.
Hopefully on Saturday playing a team higher up in the table will make the players try that little bit harder and get a positive result, I am sure you would hate to miss it!

Hastings are five places below us.

I stand corrected "Edgo"

They are five places below us, but with a lot of games in hand, orthough saying that they did place have a cup game tuesday away at tonbridge where they won on penualty's. It would be nice to think that the main 1st team played, they got a few niggles and were totally cream crackered and don't have a cracker saturday.
That's it, I've lost my doom and gloom and ready for saturday!
Now I'm going, we'll probably lost!

That`s better "Routemaster" optimism, you know it makes sense.
After "Edgo" mentioning Hastings were below us I had another look at the table, and as you rightly state, they have played less games than us, a couple of wins and we are looking up at them, let us hope we can put a spanner in their works on Saturday.

Nice to hear some positive feedback from the game at Hythe, despite our loss. It makes you wonder whether it was actually Mark Hams who had some influence on our rather direct style of football (?). I don't wish to speculate or accuse, but just wondering!
But very good to see some positive reviews, especially in light of a defeat. Looking forward to Hastings saturday,
Incidentally I was not able to get to and from Kent on a Tuesday night so took in Dulwich Hamlet vs Met Police instead. So many ex-terrors on show...Dulwich: Matt Drage, Mitchell Nelse (bench), Danny Waldren, Met Police: Taureen Roberts, Jordan Cheadle, Billy Crook. Met Police won 2-1 and Billy Crook was outstanding! Scored one and all but set up the play that lead to the second. Good to see him doing well.
There was an Ethan Pinnock in the side for Dulwich, any relation to our very own Sol??

If Hastings beat us on Saturday they'll be above us on goal difference with 3 games in hand.
Looking at the league table, we've only played one game against anyone in the top 10, that's when we got pulverised by Casuals 3-0 at home. The same scoreline incidentally that brought Whitstable their only win of the season so far against you know who.
On a more positive note I'm predicting a 3-2 victory for the Terrors on Saturday
