What do you (the voice of reason) make of it all ?
My head is still spinning from watching that pile of bollox last night
I would like your long and considered assesment of the situation if you would be so kind 59er. Thanks

I know I am not 59er, nor the voice of reason, but I thought I might contribute here, seeing as this might be one of the more balanced views thread (although it does seem to be a silly amount of new threads started between last night and today, all with the same/similar theme).
I want to make some short and sharp points, perhaps not logically presented, so forgive me:
- Many of those players stopped playing last night. Presumably they stopped playing for Frank.
- Serge Makafo is too lazy to be playing at this level. Talented no doubt, but not the right attitude and not enough effort.
- Ollie Treacher deserves some credit throughout every single performance I have watched him. Seems a very good player struggling in a very bad team.
- Elliot Simpson - whilst a revelation and I've been really impressed with him over the last 6-7 games he has played, he should NOT be our first choice. He lacks experience, which is not his fault, but he should be the sort of player, along with leon, that should be blooded for 20 minutes here and there to gain experience, not relied upon to be our regular starter - not at his age. He has done fantastically well despite this.
- Adam Faith was terrible. I really do not like to call out a player specifically, but he caused panic all over the place. Distributed the ball in a rush when he didn't need to, putting our defence under pressure, far too erratic in his movement and going down for saves, blocks, etc.
- We had no defensive midfielder last night, and we paid for it. Leon, Elliot and new guy as our three were ALWAYS going to get overrun by any other midfield at this level. Any other midfield would have at least one midfield general (e.g. experienced). We were naive in midfield and got overrun every single time.
- New midfield - Josh Taylor (?), I'm loathed to criticse someone who has only been given one game, but he isn't the answer. Neat at times, but not mobile enough and it wasn't clear which midfield position he was in. Coming back to my earlier point, him + 2 youngsters in Leon and Elliot was never going to work, not even on paper.
- Paul Dale - very hard to judge him, he has been around for 2 games so far, and coaching different styles takes a while. I would probably say that any slide we've witnessed was already coming, and the last two games are unfair to judge him on.
- Our striking options are not good enough. Good enough to stay up, maybe. Good enough to go up, no way. Full stop. Jake Baxter, Jamie Byatt, Mike Salako, Serge Makafo all lack height.
I might add to this later. Sorry to hi-jack

I'll let you know after I've pulled six of Steve Adkins' fingernails out Pod.
