Walton Casuals 2 - 3 TMUFC

Played well and deserved our win.

I was pretty impressed with that performance from our lads. A few of our new signings look to have some quality about them:
Jordan Wilson - well we know what he is about. Quick and versatile right back and can support the attack well and run with the ball
Chase O'Neill - seems very assured in midfield and has that extra bit of quality. Works very hard too.
Matt - sorry, don't know surname. Right winger. Loves to get our wide and provide crosses - just what we need and Gareth happy to get on the end of them!
Morares - sorry about the spelling. The CB - is a good strong committed CB. We may struggle against pace with him and Simmo but both are strong in the air and seemed positionally savvy.

Thought the whole team worked really hard. We were a little lucky at times, i.e. they hit the crossbar. We shouldn't have conceded 2 goals, both were sloppy. I still thought we could have scored a few more so we were good for our win! Team spirit seemed really good today.

Thought Serge was MOM, unplayable and gave their right back(s) a torrid time.

Gareth is good in the air and is proving a very useful player to have back.

We need to build a run now, no use winning one losing one! It's a start...so well done players and management.

Re: Walton Casuals 2 - 3 TMUFC

Terrors continue where they left off versus Corinthian casuals today and dictated the pace of game against the quick speed merchants upfront of Walton .

Plus points today the togetherness of the squad and the celebration with fans when goals scored made it memorable .

Chace o'neil run midfield with a calm assurance ... Jordan Wilson marauding upfront supporting attack and setting up 2nd goal decisive .

Simeone and morales stood strong and positioned in centre without giving much away .
Chedunik upfront took both goals with a look of seasoned goal scorer .

Nice to see the huddle before the game and the togetherness of the squad . We have hit a few speed bumps recently but not hit any walls yet so onwards and upwards to tues versus Three Bridges .

Well deserved win today, it was refreshing to see everyone giving their all for the team.
I would not have liked to have chosen a man of the match today, would not know where to start.
The one sorry part about today is the plight that Walton find themselves in, very few fans, and those that were there were not very vocal, no programmes to sell, goodness knows why, and are we seeing the death throes of this old club because heaven knows how they can carry on financially in their present situation. I hope they can, and do survive, and I wish them well.

Re: Walton Casuals 2 - 3 TMUFC

I, sadly, was not able to attend the CC game on Tuesday but was looking forward to seeing what I had read about last Tuesday's match.  At half time I was not disappointed.  Tim Marcus, however, reminded me, as I queued for my half-time cuppa soup, that we need three goals to actually be sure of winning a game and how right he was!  The team overall looked balanced.  Better passing in midfield, width with crosses and Jake and Garath looking like they are understanding each other a little better.

However, we do need to tighten up at the back and stop conceding soft goals.  Marking is poor at times and teams better that Walton Casuals will punish us.

A very enjoyable afternoon and  a well deserved 3 points. The performance was excellent with 3 cracking goals scored. A good turnout from the Tooting faithful as well, things are looking up.
