Sisley Songs
Bog End Tim has composed a new song in homage to Mr. Sisley that I heard for the first time at Dorking yesterday. It goes......

In the town where I was born,
We eat trifle from dusk to dawn,

And we don't give a sh*te.
In my opinion the swearing at the end is a little gratuitous. Given Tim's great wit and extensive vocabulary I'm a little disappointed and I suggest the ending should keep to the subject matter, our tannoy announcer Roy. May I be so bold as to suggest we change the ending to....
Our PA is quite absurd,
No one can understand a single word.
Or you could substitute 'Tannoy' for PA, what do you think ?
I'm writing a song of my own, I haven't finished it yet but it starts......
If you're going to San Fran Fretwell,
Be sure to kick a toddler in the air.

Who Al ? The bloke who wrote the original was called John Phillips but not the same John Phillips who was understudy to Peter Bonetti in the Chelsea goal in the 70's, it was a different John Phillips.
I completely forgot about the other new Sisley song on Saturday, the cover version of the festive Band Aid number that went....

I believe "Fretters" Tim will be giving out song sheets in the bar before tomorrows game, good eh!
You should consider, BEU is offering you fame as well as notoriety.
