Whyteleafe- TMUFC Undercover.

Saw a few of ours up at Whyteleafe today. Hadn't been there for years. Nice little ground. Handy for the station and virtually a Former TMUFC Players Second XI on the pitch. Nice enough.

Re: Whyteleafe- TMUFC Undercover.

Only little problem I had was that their bar service was crap. Gave up in the end.

Re: Whyteleafe- TMUFC Undercover.

I did the same as you, at half time I waited and waited until in the end I thought I would have to make do with a coffee, boy was I wrong, just as slow a queue and again I just gave up.
Not sure whether they were just caught off guard by the size of the crowd, but they certainly did not make the most of the chance to improve revenue.
Had a nice talk with Adam in the bar, who for understandable reasons does not really wish to play but does not appear to have much of an option I would guess, due to the size of the playing budget.
Craig was very surprised at the number of Tooting supporters who turned up to wish him well, unfortunately the afternoon did not turn out as we would have wished and I feel he is going to have an uphill struggle this season, I sincerely hope I am wrong, as both he and Adam are such likeable people.

Just saw the size of the crowd, 265 on a rainy day like today, not bad.
Good luck for the rest of the season and look forward to seeing you both again this month.

Re: Whyteleafe- TMUFC Undercover.

Very enjoyable  little afternoon out. And one of those nice things that come with following a non-league team.

Re: Whyteleafe- TMUFC Undercover.

Although I did drift away from attending matches for a number of years, much to my now regret, I would not give tuppence for the premiership, this is real football played and attended by people who care. Long may it continue.

I was one of about half a dozen Tooting fans at Carshalton v Casuals. A 300 plus crowd boosted by quite a few neutrals saw a 1-1 draw. The home team should have had this won easily but couldn't put their many chances away, Casuals only effort on target in the whole game with 5 minutes to go gave them an undeserved share of the points. No Summers or Marshal in the team either.

Re: Whyteleafe- TMUFC Undercover.

Long queues for food and drink at Whyteleafe aren't unusual, any sort of decent crowd and there is a problem. Come to think of it, the bar service at Tooting has taken a tumble this season, on Boxing day it was awful, it can't be that difficult, can it ?

You don`t think Steve Adkins is trying to turn the club into a temperance one do you Andy?

Re: Whyteleafe- TMUFC Undercover.

Temperance......"Abstinence from Alcoholic Drink".  No thanks Al.  Drinking alcohol is a necessity when supporting Tooting. !!!!

I fully support that sentiment.
