For Roy Sisley (with apologies to Paul Weller)

Cut up your sponge and collect your fruit
There's a row going on in Sandy Lane
Get out your mixer and pray for the best
I'll get out mine and mix up the rest
Thought you were smart when you poured the liquor on
But you didn't take a peep to see how strong
All that sherry puts hairs on your chest
What chance have you got against the custard and the zest?

Hello-hooray, what a nice day, for Eating Trifles, Eating Trifles
Hello-hooray, there’s a price to pay for Eating Trifles, Eating Trifles

We may not have the greatest talent on the pitch, but we certainly do on the terraces.
Well done Tim.
Dou you think Bog End Tim will have learned the words by Saturday

Re: For Roy Sisley (with apologies to Paul Weller)

Unbelievably good laughed my tits off Tim.

Please, please play Eton Rifles on Saturday (weather permitting) so's we can join in the chorus by chanting Eating Trifles.

Ash, Bog End Tim still hasn't learned the words to Lee The Mod's ' It's a long way to bleeding Guernsey' song yet and he wrote that 3 years ago ! Tim's memory is on a par with yours mate. Incidentally, there was a horse running the other day called Al's Memory, I didn't back it which was just as well cos it came nowhere

Mr Marcus, allow me to buy you a beer on Saturday, virtually nothing on the Forum for days and then the funniest post there's ever been. Hats off squire.
