We regret to advise the Club has withdrawn from this season’s Surrey Senior Cup with immediate effect and tonight’s game at Whyteleafe has been postponed.
 
Whilst it was not identified at the time by either ourselves or the Surrey FA, our own subsequent investigations have established that we fielded an illegible player in our tie at Godalming Town a fortnight ago. Under the circumstances we have had no alternative but to contact the Surrey FA today to advise them of this and to withdraw from this season’s competition.
 
We acknowledge that this is the second occasion that this happened this season and what we believed previously to be a “one off” occurrence clearly was not. Under the circumstances we are now undertaking an urgent review of our player registration processes to ensure that this cannot happen again.
 
We can only apologise for the frustration and disappointment that this will cause again to everyone associated with the club; supporters, players and officials alike
