PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING

On Saturday we travel to the land of the puke-inducing cheeseburger.......Worthing ! Don't eat them, they are dangerous

The club have issued the following statement on the official website.....
" For those intending to travel to our away fixture at Worthing this coming weekend, we strongly advise you to take a packed lunch and avoid the burger bar at all costs."

Isn't it nice to know Steve and Jackie have our welfare at heart eh ?

Re: PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING

I think I had one actually when I last went......I recall the train ride home with Shymon and Bondy (if I recall it was the Grand National weekend)......maybe it was that that led to Bill's trip to hospital on the ill fated beer run of Shoreham......

From what I can make out, it was 5th April 2014.....my Double Seven getting placed in the race at Aintree.  Are these food problems a recent thing?  The ropiest food I remember was Erith & Belvedere where they were literally giving stuff away.....

What a coincidence ! My tip for the big race at Aintree tomorrow is.......keep your money in your pocket because you aren't going to win. There is a geegee running called Ballycasey that our 'casey' might want to back as a coincidence bet (I couldn't comment on the 'Bally' bit though), it's an Irish horse (which is always an advantage) but it's got a bird riding it so I'd give it a wide berth if I were you Clive !

Here's another tip for tomorrow.......If they try and give away the cheeseburgers, politely refuse

Re: PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING

I had one of their burgers a few years ago - I puked up behind their covered end terrace  and later in the month ended up in hospital with serious gastric problems !

By the way - pub of choice pre-match is the "Brooksteed Ale House" a micro-pub (http://www.brooksteedalehouse.co.uk/) a mere stones throw from the ground. Sadly seems to close at 14:00hrs though ........ but re-opens at 17:00hrs, that's handy.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left !

Are you allowed in if you're not wearing a cardigan underneath an anorak ?

There aren't really any coincidence names in there......though 'Wonderful Charm' could apply to one or two of the regulars

Bondy's one isn't running tomorrow though: http://www.racingpost.com/horses/horse_home.sd?horse_id=782646#topHorseTabs=horse_race_record&bottomHorseTabs=horse_form

Harsh Plumpton old chap.
I make one small slip for mankind and....never forgotten.

My final game this season, with the exception of the final.
So I'll try and get down to Worthiing in time for micro beer supping.

Or........I'll be walking along the seaside.

One small slip for mankind, one giant leap for Tooting chants.......

All in jest Bondy, unlike two years ago, I won't be doing the National, best of luck with the football and horses today, hope there's a good result for everyone on both.....

I did exactly that Boggie.  The three I would have done didn't come anywhere (Le Reve, Wonderful Charm, and The Romford Pele), in fact, one of those came last......

Was any member of the black & white army seen anywhere near the refreshment facility?  When I say that, I mean the non alcoholic one.

Did the lads hit the Brooksteed?  Been a bit quiet on here so guessing they had their hands full

Bondy - I've just clicked that Racing Post link again (in this thread to get info for the more current Worthing thread) - that horse has won since then!!!!  And at 9/1.......I'm absolutely beside myself (and not in a good way).......

Well Bondy never told us!  It's his horse!

Actually, horses, dodgy burgers, this thread could have uncovered the mystery......
