What a celebration. Not that I saw much of it. There I was rushing in to join in, but Mr Carmody went tumbling over in front of me and I managed to trip over the prostrate Billy Boy and ended up on the deck myself!!! Unperturbed we both quickly dusted ourselves down to join in what was left of the celebration.

Manic scenes!!!!

Hoping both you guys are OK and are ready to continue the cause this coming  Saturday, reading both the report on the Robins site, and ours, it appears to have been a good game with an extra special finish.

Re: Arc now here the Tooting sing .... A new born King is born Chace Oneil

We certainly had most of the possession in the first half without looking particularly dangerous with it. Despite going one down I still felt positive coming out for the second half. That soon wore off as Carshalton got stronger and it became one way traffic with us having to defend for our lives and the woodwork coming to our aid a couple of times. We had barely a shot on goal in the the second period, and we seem to have lost all of our attacking threat since Dunn jumped ship, Dixon looks ineffective and isolated at the moment, surely the loss of one player can't make that much difference.
Going into added on time I could not see us getting an equaliser and as Chace ran into the penalty area and stumbled under a challenge I was shouting for him to go down for a pen, thats how desparate we were. I'm probably not giving Chace enough credit here as my hazy recollection of what followed was a scuffed shot that bobbled into the far corner, feel free to correct me on that one !
All in all a disappointing performance from us, the only positive I can see is that we didn't lose and somehow managed to salvage a probably undeserved point

Certainly agree with you Andy, there is something missing in our team at the moment.Played well in first but only a couple of chances, but 2nd half where did every one go?We lost shape and became desperate.Could not see us scoring.I t felt like a win,but let's not kid ourselves we need to sort ourselves out, quickly.I guess we need another centre back,or will we go with one of the under 21's?Great atmosphere in ground.630 odd people.

Centre back is a tricky one, I felt Sol was careless in getting himself a sending off, getting cover for him won't be easy. I'm boring myself in mentioning Robinson was on the bench yet again, could he come in for Sol ? I can't remember if he's played centre back for us before, it wouldn't be ideal as the position is vital and pretty specialised.

Re: Arc now here the Tooting sing .... A new born King is born Chace Oneil

I thought we were really poor! But ever so delighted to see Chace's scuffed shot roll past the keeper and in off the post. But have to give him a lot of credit, after his first and second touch he ended up getting taken ever so slightly wide of the goal and i thought the chance was gone. But to his credit he brought it back in and got a shot off which effectively rescued our poor performance!

I thought Carshalton were really good in the second half and worth the 3 points, so was a great feeling to deny them at the end. Their players were distraught!

Silly of Sol to get sent off. Yes the referee was a mess, but if you're on a yellow and you've just got away without getting a second for a blatant foul on their winger, why risk it again literally from the next play? Admittedly it was a soft second yellow for the foul itself, but the principle for the yellow was the constant fouling, not that particular soft foul itself. It was completely avoidable as the robins player was going away from goal!

I assume Robbo or Bash will end up playing centre back for when Sol is suspended.

Sandy Cunningham, our new signing looked pacey and lively when he came on, i wonder if we could try him close to Dixon in the no.10 role vs Whyteleafe?

They've won 2 of their last 3 and drew with Dorking in the third game so will be tough opponents. Looking forward to it!

Jordan Wilson really isn't a right back. I think he's an excellent midfielder or wide player in our team, but RB? No. Either the manager isn't convinced on Callum Wilson or he is carrying a knock still...he only seems to play every other game back there!

Re: Arc now here the Tooting sing .... A new born King is born Chace Oneil

We are not only missed the loss of one player Andy Mc.
How could you (and Casey) forget the contribution of Eddie Dines so quickly?
If you set aside the splendid goal contribution of Dunn I would consider Dines as our most influential player so far this season.  And much missed.
Then add Wedgie to that (very little forward contribution by Tennie on his first game back) and you can see why we are struggling.
Yes, despite yet more impressive physical effort by Danny B, Mike Dixon does look isolated up front at the moment.

At our best earlier in the season we were playing with the threat of two wingers but perhaps Frank was concerned at being overrun by the Robins, as we were in the 2nd half.
If Tauren is surrounded by 3/4 opponents within a 10 yard circle it might suggest we have other players in space.  But the ball needs to be released to them much earlier.

Keep the faith.  We are still in a league position that all would envy.

I said something missing, not someone!Goal wise we miss Dunn, but he didn't work hard Agree Eddie Dines big miss, and not easy to replace.I do think Robbi should play more.I think had a wide man up against him so found it difficult to go forward. We seam to be unable to control midfield at moment.Must get more help to Dixon.I think he needs some crosses he can battle for .Don't know, but I hope Frank does.

Re: Arc now here the Tooting sing .... A new born King is born Chace Oneil

At the risk of sounding like Ashley Robinsons agent, I would have thought that Robbo was a more than able replacement for Dines. Ashley has been one of our best performers of 2016, a great passing range, good set piece delivery, dangerous at shooting range free kicks, a decent long throw and leads by example. And there he is, sitting on the bench.

Re: Arc now here the Tooting sing .... A new born King is born Chace Oneil

He'll most likely be thrown in at CB for when Sol serves a suspension! (Anyone know if that suspension is Whyteleafe or delayed?).

Not sure we have any other CBs in the first team currently after letting go of Adriano and with Simmo injured.

Re: Arc now here the Tooting sing .... A new born King is born Chace Oneil

Sol probably won't be out until after these two New Year games judging by all the past dismissals. It takes a while for the suspensions to kick in at this level.
Interestingly, word on the terraces was that Carshalton's goal scorer the other day should've been suspended. Watch this space with interest to see if they get docked three points for that indiscretion ........ or if the suspension had either been lifted or had not come in to force yet.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left !

Re: Arc now here the Tooting sing .... A new born King is born Chace Oneil

I'm sorry, but nobody seems to remember that we still have a very good CB in Quincy Rowe!

Re: Arc now here the Tooting sing .... A new born King is born Chace Oneil

No one has forgotten Quincey. He has been one of our best performers and gives his all. We are talking about the position next to him that Sol usually occupies!
