Anyone notice that Dan Summers has gone down to Corinthian Casuals - he must like the "casuals" bit!

Since he left us several seasons ago, he has not enjoyed the same goal scoring success with any of the many clubs he has joined.

I wouldn't swap Michael Dixon for Dan Summers. Dixon works far harder than Dan ever did and is now proving fairly prolific in front of goal.

A little statistical analysis on Dixon (bit quiet at work):
In the first 14 league games he made just 1 start and 7 appearances from the bench. He was also an unused sub 2 times. There were 4 games on the trot in which he didn't feature. He scored 1 goal.
In the next 19 league games he has started 16 and come on as sub 2 times. And got 18 goals.
It probably shows that if you are patient, you will get a chance. Also well done to the management, because I reckon a lot of forwards would have moved on due to lack of 1st team action.
And just a comment about his last 4 goals - they have more or less been all his own work (Greenwich, Herne Bay and Sittingbourne)
Lets hope he can get goal number 20 on Saturday.

Also interesting because I am sure a couple of weeks (maybe months?) ago one of our forum members thought that he was not a 20 goal a season striker (can't remember who, but it's irrelevant really), and I and a few others profusely disagreed and reckoned that he would. Good to see that he (almost!) has.
Mike was also unlucky not to get his second with the header that came off the crossbar after some fantastic work by new signing Clements.
Oops...sorry, this thread is on Summers...
Roll on Saturday.

Have to disagree Gary, I feel that Dixon is by far a better fit into the current system we play, he does not get intimidated by defenders, a point that was noticeable on Saturday when he got between two, very big, defenders using his strength, and no little degree of skill, to score his and our first goal.
Granted Dan was good in his time for us but that time is past, I do not feel his work rate would impress Frank and Paul especially with Billy Dunn back as you certainly could not play the two of them together.

The goal scoring run enjoyed by Mike Dixon started immediately i sponsored his kit.
Nobody had snapped him up at that point. Strange but true.
So I am taking all the credit.
