A late Mike Dixon winner puts us 5 points clear, with Dorking Wanderers only drawing. A scrappy game in heat more like August than April. But a win is a win. Well done everyone.

I heard today that Dorkings leading scorer got a straight red today, so missing our last game.

Another grind, but as has been said, 3 points is all that matters now. We've earned our current position thanks to plenty of fast moving, high scoring performances earlier in the season. So I'm quite happy to see a couple more grubby 1-0 wins next week. Although I would like our goal to come a bit earlier in the game!

I genuinely think the difference today was taking Jordan out of defence and putting him in midfield. As soon as robbo went to right back and Jordan came into midfield we got that crucial goal!!!!

A determined performance by Tooting & Mitcham secured the three essential points and I thought Maclaren and Dixon particularly demonstrated the teams spirited resolve to eventually get the result !!! Well done to the whole team.

We are getting there ,inch by inch.Think some of the players felt that yestaday.Very hot for early April.I think Maclaren has become very important for us.He keeps getting those tackles in,and keeping it simple.I thought their centre half(5)played well against Dixon.He kept going though and got the reward.Its great we can bring on subs and change things.Fingers crossed.
