Tooting Bec FC
For those who sometimes have a look over at the game on the back pitch, you may know that this is Tooting Bec FC. They play in the Surrey Intermediate League, which I think is 1 division down from the Combined Counties. This season they have done really well and are currently on a 15 game winning streak. They are top of their league with 1 game to play. However, they are up against 2nd place Virginia Water in that last game. Virginia Water are 4 points behind but have 2 games in hand. Which will probably set up a winner takes all game at the end of the season. And this final game takes place on the same day as we travel to Dorking.
Could it be a Tooting double?

It's looking unlikely/impossible for the Wanderers to make it a Tooting treble.
I'm sure that won't disappoint too many of you. Apart from Dave Irons whose best friend in the whole world is their secretary.

Bec had a stroke of luck on Monday when their closest challengers, Virginia Water, slipped up, losing to Ripley. This means that Bec just need a win or a draw to win their league. Their game is on the same day as we travel to Dorking, so lets hope that both Tootings get the result!
