MARLOW GAME

IT APPEARS THE REASON THE REFEREE DID NOT GIVE US A PENALTY TOWARDS THE END WAS BECAUSE HE FELT THE BALL WAS GOING OUT, AS IF THAT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE. HE WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF SPACE. AS I HAVE SAID ON MANY OCCASIONS THESE PEOPLE MAKE IT UP AS THEY GO ALONG.

Re: MARLOW GAME

I think with the restructuring of the leagues and with more teams competing the knock on affect is that the standard of football is weaker and also the officials are very poor. I felt there was several key points missed by the three officials in this game. Both teams for me should of had a penalty in the second half. Their keeper kicked the ball from hands off the pitch with a player in his box down and instead of waving their physio on he let us take a throw in. We should of got more yellow cards and they should of got more yellow cards in the first half for persistent fouling .If Daryl was judged to of kicked the player when he was down after being fouled then he clearly should of got a red card instead of a yellow. The officials lost control of the game towards the end and it was their fault their was a big argument with hand bags with all the players. They did get the red card correct with a shocking tackle on Daly. Danny B got his leg broken with the same type of tackle in the same place on the pitch  few seasons ago. I am trying to give a balance view. He was bad for both teams as their right back pointed out to me.
I have no comment to make about how we played,  I really like our boys as individuals and the management , I do not want to offend anyone ..................  One thing I have noticed is that some players only get motivated when we are playing higher opposition, is this because they are looking for a move? I stupidly  thought after the Carshalton game that we are back playing at our best. I am sorry but it is pointless celebrating on Twitter that some of these youngsters are playing first team football when they are clearly not good enough. I am very concerned moving forward unless we get someone that is strong enough to play at RWB. Can someone please ring Ajurni and ask him to reconsider playing football again? I thought he was excellent last season. The management clearly do not fancy George anymore. Super Dean Hamlin played RWB on Tuesday night ahead of him.

Re: MARLOW GAME

You don,t see many nil nils with T&M,but if you were going to see one, this would have been the game, with two of the meanest defences going up against two of the worst scoring teams in the division.

The early season form seems to be evaporating fast and the premature praising of the management has proved to be misguided.

Still early days, though, still a few games in hand which must be taken advantage of if we,re to keep up with the leaders.

Scoring goals against well organised defences seems to be the problem yet again. Solving this on a limited budget is proving difficult but that is what the manager is for and he has to come up with something if we,re to challenge for promotion. The second half saw us with most of the possession but could not turn that into many clear cut chances. The penalty shout looked strong and they couldn,t have complained had it been given.

Re: MARLOW GAME

Andy Mc,
Couldn't agree with you more on your posting, except the penalty shout. From behind the goal it must have looked a cert for a penalty, but from where I was located ( Side view) the Tooting forward over run the ball by a couple of yards, and lost control. The refs statement the ball was going out was ridiculous.

Re: MARLOW GAME

Anyone not going to Chertsey should come to the Campus and see Tooting Bec trying to stop the juggernaught that is Jersey Bulls who have a 100% record in the league at the moment.
Their record is P17 W17 F68 A5 Points 51.  They are obviously going places and already have an average home gate of over 700.  Averaging four goals a game it will be lively at the very least!  See you there!
