Although difficult to assess a game from the Guernsey highlights video, it seems Tooting had only 2 shots on target during the game and scored from both. The goals seemed to be on the soft side, but a win is a win, much to the disgust of their manager. We also gave away another stupid penalty, with an unnecessary and thoughtless tackle.  On the plus side the new goalkeeper seems very competent.
 
The match was not helped by the blustery conditions nor the pitch, where a rugby match was held on the Saturday, and the markings both formats were clearly visible.  This seems to be the little Island’s national stadium which is also used for athletics.

One curiousity, the Rugby club started playing in the first week of September, a true contact sport, why did the Football club start so late this seson????
