Stefan has requested I post his comments on the Sheerwater game
yesterday match was about who wanted it more, and there was no doubt that
Sheerwater wanted all three points, inspired by their No.10 who worked
tirelessly for his team throughout the match, achieving what they set out to do,
with pace and gusto.
We meanwhile looked slow and off the pace and I wonder if a few lessons were
learnt tonight, on the basis of this result, I do wonder if we can remain in
the top four for the rest of the season. Well, unfortunately not on this showing.
Yes, we stayed with them, but they were faster and quicker to the ball and simply
wanted it more, putting in driving crosses and shots to trouble our defence.
It’s a management problem that needs to be addressed, and I am sure it will
happen, but something needs to change for that to happen . You can’t beat
attitude and desire and their players showed it in abundance last night.
Well done Sheerwater. You taught us a lesson that the supporters we not forget.
