Well, what a let down that was. After the big build up, a bumper crowd saw Tootings worst performance of the season. The game was already going to be difficult but we made it impossible for ourselves by gifting them all 4 of their goals. They didn't have to produce anything themselves as we did it all for them. At the other end we were totally ineffective and gave the Fleet back 4 the easiest of afternoons. I groaned when I heard the starting lineup, Timothy Obisanya as centre forward with Cruickshank on the bench would not be my, or many others, choice of forward options. Its like playing with ten men. Tim can't run, head the ball, does not hold the ball up and his first touch is dreadful, forget about the 2 consolation goals he got yesterday, the game was done, for the previous 90 minutes, he offered no attacking threat whatsoever, what Jamie sees in him, I do not know.
We were not good enough this season and we didn't deserve to get promoted. We still have better resources than most of the clubs in this division so this is not acceptable. We can only hope that Jamie and his coaching staff can assemble a squad capable of confidently challenging for promotion next season.
