An appropriate time to remind everyone that new FA rules on gambling mean that no players, employees, directors or officials of any club in non league step 4 or higher can place any sort of football bet in th UK

This ban applies to any football anywhere in the world, not just UK

Sorry my post should have been better worded. I realise that the ban is on bets on any football related event anywhere in the world however my ref to UK was in relation to where the bet was placed rather than where the event that was being bet on was taking place (eg not that I would however I don't believe the ban would stop me from travelling to the US to place a bet on an MLS soccer match)
