A good point, especially given that we had to play 85 minutes with 10 men after Quarm was sent off for a poor tackle. We were one up at half time through an og. Carshalton equalised shortly after the break with a shot from the edge of the box by ex-Terror Jordan Clarke.
We had plenty of possession but could not make it count. Priority in training this week should be how to beat the first defender with crosses and how to make the most of attacking throw-ins.

Let's be quite clear. That tackle was an absolute shocker.
When the Carshalton player realised he had not been seriously injured he crossed himself and covered his face with his hands in sheer relief. He really thought he was seriously crocked.
And on half way after just 5 mins it was needless. Poor.
What did Carshakton create in attack? Very little.
With 11 men our miserable run would surely come to an end.
How forgiving you are when it is Summers who is on holiday Gary. I seem to remember others who were not Walker favs being absolutely slated in the past for their poor commitment.
(Like many of us) Newton has had the dreaded lurgy. And is still not right.
Marshall still sore from his challenge with the 'leaf keeper.
The very reason the pitch is still in such good condition is precisely because we don't train on it.
Allowing the team to play the passing game being developed under Craig & Adam.
Is Billy Smith free to sign up?
He was a very good player from a previous era. So let's get him back.

This was a very average "Robins" team, who if we had eleven men on the pitch we surely would have taken all three points, i must admit i thought we would see a much better team, after their most recent results, than when we played them earlier in the season, however did they beat South Park?
For the first 40 minutes we were by far the better team, but we have been there before, come the start of the second half and they continued where they left off at the end of the first, winning the second ball gettting it out wide, especially the left where the goal came from, and generally controlling the game, i can not remember a time during the first fifteen minutes when we ventured past the half way line. The gaol i felt was not the fault of the keeper as the ball sped low and hard through a forest of legs, isn`t it funny how an old player can come back and score against you. But we gradually got ourselves back into the game and instead of tiring as the game wore on, became stronger and were unlucky not to score a second. I did not understand why Sol was switched onto the right at the start of the second half he is never as effective as on the left. Man of the match!, not for me Gary, I felt Bash led by example today, like Frankie, he never gave up the cause, but all ten players must take credit for the point today. Like you i felt that Troy was a disappointment but perhaps in time he may prove a good addition, felt sorry for the ex. Margate player whose name escapes me, first game, after ten minutes asked to play out of position, which he obviously was not comfortable with, then subbed, look forward to seeing him play a full game Saturday, when we will have a better idea as to his suitability, one plus point i did notice, he does at least attempt to jump for the ball, not like some i could mention.

Was proud of the lads today. I feared the worst when Francis got himself sent off early doors. But we stuck at it and a point was what we at least deserved. Thought Sol was excellent and put in an unplayable cross for our goal. The defender had to go for it or Frankie would have been on the end of it. It was almost inevitable when ex-Terror Jordan Clarke levelled the scores early in the second half. But we really dug in. And it didn't seem like we were the team with ten men at times. Although I'm not quite sure how Carshalton finished with eleven men on the pitch. Okay, it's now eight games without a win, but I feel we can move on to Three Bridges with confidence on Saturday.

I thought it was a very good performance from 10 men. We mixed it really well with Carshalton and to be honest they did not look like they were going to win the game and must be peed off with their performance.
I agree with with everyone except Gary regarding their goal. At the time I said that he could not have had a good look at it and just got down too late. I have seen worse blunders at the top level and do not hold him responsible for it at all. He also pulled off (not just in this game) some really good saves.
I thought that Harry Knock had a very good game, getting his head on the high balls and thumping it up the field when he had to. Sol was on fire in the first half, and I was also bemused by him turning up on my side of the pitch in the second half.
Quarm's "tackle" was a shocker, and to be honest, although I think that he is a good player: do we have too many players of the same type in the midfield? I thought that Saidou had a good game, covering all of the pitch and making fewer mistakes than he has been making in earlier games. Hopefully he will now get a few games to prove himself.
Onward and upward!

Hmpf ! Sutton/Carshalton ?? which is which, the Guardian seems to be all too ready to put together a very biased report !
As the great "Bog End Tim" would retort : - - "There's two sides in it you jelly bellied (expletive deleted) !"
