Farnham

Farnham lost their first two points of the season in a 0-0 draw with Knaphill last night but still remain unbeaten.  Can we be the first team to beat them?

Re: Farnham

On our day yes - Especially if the Farnham players have just been paid as the weight of thier wallets will slow them down considerably

Re: Farnham

You have a chance. Farnham have a small squad and the fixture pile up will hurt them. I've been predicting for a couple of months they won't go through the season unbeaten. Before the recent cancellations, a few players were beginning to look leggy. It will happen again.

The plan was to bolster the squad with Development players when necessary but two Development managers took Senior jobs this season, and took players with them, meaning the team was too weak to continue. It closed down for the season as one sided mismatches don't help anyone develope to their full potential.

Keep your fingers crossed for more rain too. Farnham are much better on hard, slick surfaces. Also that Darryl Saunders remains out injured. It's no secret the side was built around him. They simply aren't the same side without him, as has been proven by recent performances.

They did play 84 minutes with ten men versus Knaphill and came closest to scoring a winner mind. Previously they ground out a few late wins ahead of that match, when the 100% record seemed doomed. They won't make it easy.

It's probably worth pointing out two of the squad are both in their tenth season at Farnham. Something that doesn't get mentioned much amidst the focus on the newer signings and wage bills.

Edited to say a few players on each side are good friends and will be looking for bragging rights.
