Re: Farnham away advice

No idea when you will visit but anyone driving, be aware they introduced a fixed £2 charge after 18.30 at the Waitrose car park yesterday.

If you are happy to walk two extra minutes, drive past the Waitrose car park entrance and turn left into the Upper Hart car park in 150 yards. That remains free after 18.30.

Farnham have just confirmed the match as Thursday April 25th at 19.45 if anyone fancies heading over.

Re: Farnham away advice

The Farnham tweet re the match suggests the mystery kitchen won't be open. The burger & chips hut will be. If coming straight from work and needing to eat, the burgers come from a butcher not a wholesaler and are better than your typical non league burger. Not as good as the mystery kitchen, if that does open, though.

There's not many fast alternatives in Farnham tbh. The William Cobbett usually turns around food quicky, the Borough Beer House does cold food options which usually arrive quickly and Waitrose has the usual sandwiches etc. The Plough opposite the ground has franchised out the kitchen to a burger company and is usually quick though they do a lot of takeaway stuff so worth checking current wait times if cutting it fine. The other pubs are a bit more high end and can take longer. Plenty of restaurants but again time is likely to become an issue.

Enjoy the match if you travel. Farnham are fast running out of bodies and the manager is off sick. (Another player will be out after last night.) Whilst Farnham are rightly favourites, you have a better chance than the table suggests.

I suspect it'll be quite a small crowd with last Saturday and a cup final next Wednesday being more attractive option to those who pick and choose matches. No real need to turn up particularly early if I am right.

Re: Farnham away advice

Just a warning the proggie tonight is a £5 64 page promotion special.

If any Tooting fans want a look but not to buy one given the price, you are welcome to flick through mine if I get one (limited print run.) Look for a 50 something bloke with a Vizsla. If he's a grumpy as he was last time he went you'll probably hear him first...
