Just to let everybody know that I heard today that Mick lost his fight against leukemia this morning.
Phil Garrard, Heather, myself and Paul Piggott accepted an invitation to hear Mick talk about his 50 year career earlier this month. We spent a wonderful evening with him and it was fascinating to hear him talk in detail about his time at
Sandy Lane. At the time he looked well so to hear today that he had passed was devastating. He will be sorely missed. I will pass our condolences on to Mrs Browning.

That is so sad Chris. He was a great player for us way back when. I never knew him off the pitch but I am pleased you heard him speaking fondly of his time at Tooting.
Thanks for letting us know.

Really sad to read about the passing of a true Tooting great. Mick was an intelligent, cultured and high scoring centre forward, and only just edged out by our other great legend Paddy Hasty. Like Hasty, Mick was not big in stature, although a little rotund, but graced the pitch with his undoubted skills, whereas Hasty was more robust. His sad passing has brought back very happy memories of the great times and teams which once strode Sandy Lane.
Mick will always be remembered with great affection by those fans who had the privilege to watch him in the Black and White Stripes. In later years it was always great to see him at Horsham when Tooting played there, and was still always admired by the loyal Tooting fans.
A great loss to Football and this Club, as well as Horsham YMCA and Sussex Football, and especially so his family and friends.
RIP Mr Browning and many thanks for the enjoyable and exciting times you provided to me, and those other Tooting fans.

I have just had confirmation of Mick's funeral.
The service will be held on Monday 7th December at Surrey and Sussex Crematorium in Crawley at 10.30am with the wake afterwards at the YMCA Football ground.
