Members Club Website

Members club published:

"...To keep you posted we have now organised that football news will be posted on the Unofficial Website until further notice and not the forum. This is because the website is run by a committed member, Paul Pigott, whereas the forum has no connection to the club and publishes uncorroborated and sometimes false information...."

Then corroborrate it for us?...

Which information is false?...

Re: Members Club Website

A bit uneccesary.  I think we all know how a forum of this sort works.  And its obvious that a message from MichaelMouse1928 saying that a particular player is joining or has left is not going to be treated as official.  And if something appears on Paul's website we can normally assume that its correct.

So that statement is just going to stir things up that don't need stirring.  We already know that the members club record of communicating news to the fans is really poor, and now when they actually make some sort of comment, its actually a cross between "stating the bleedin' obvious" and a childish dig.

Re: Members Club Website

If that is the case "59er" then it must be true.
Thank goodness!

Re: Members Club Website

Can't believe the members club have updated the members club website. It really must be Christmas 🎄

Re: Members Club Website

Problem is tho Gary I would have thought that not many people go on the website because of the lack of updates. I certainly haven't looked at for at least 12 months

Re: Members Club Website

So does that mean you now have your own press officer then Gary?

Re: Members Club Website

Something that struck me about this perennial "Members Club" debate is that the answer is in our/your own hands !

Every year the Members Club has an AGM - OK, so it's not the most inspiringly organised, and is somewhat shambolic in its content - but.......it's an AGM, and THAT is your/our opportunity to do something about the perceived problems with the "Members Club".

Join up, go along, and get yourself elected on to the committee/board (call it what you will) and effect changes from within ! Perhaps then you'll also see what goes on behind the scenes and realise that matchdays etc., don't just happen, they get organised and run by members of the "Members Club".

Moaning about it but doing nothing about it will get you nowhere - unless of course, you just enjoy moaning !

By the way, the first thing to do is to volunteer to run the web site !

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left !
