Now the season is underway, have you noticed how busy the members page is?? At least we know there are some goodies in the club shop. It is a good job we had such a brilliant match on Tuesday night v Guernsey because the members page is about as entertaining as watching paint dry!

Instead of criticising, why not put something interesting yourself on it, I am sure that your help would be appreciated. Without the people like Chris Woolley, and all the other unpaid! volunteers who so loyally serve our club, people like us would not have a club at all.
Offline
put something interesting yourself? like what? how can you defend the indefensible? that page has been like that since at least february or march? what do they do exactly? what have they done exactly? stop talking crap. they have systematically ruined the club and let's face it it's not getting any better is it? pull your head out of the sand for god sake and stop making yourself look stupid. wouldn;t have a club at all? what kind of club do we have now then? call that a club?
Offline
danny lee and bolty got knk at the club and to my belief every now and then they still talk to kevin there. the members club have done nothing and are outdated. doing the attendances a world of good aswell aren't they? where is the marketing? where is the commercial side? all the spill they gave us at that sham of a meeting and nothing has progressed not even the league position. the club is dead. handful of concession age supporters being busy and that's it. busy doing sod all. get a grip. how blinkered.

living on away support. how embarrassing.

If it as bad as you say, why not find another team to support!

Unfortunately ther is a lot of truth in Bog ends postings

ALANJ, so are you saying if we don't agree with the failings at the club at the failing procedures and pathways the club are taking that our support is no longer needed?
Offline
BER - you are creating a false dichotomy there. I think the true options for the fans of this club are to volunteer to help the club outside of the 90 minutes, or just accept the situation. Anything else is just general moaning at no-one in particular.
Most fans are just 90 minute fans, and every club needs them. But the club also needs people to put time and money into the club outside of match days. And every club needs them as well. But you can only reasonably sit in one camp or the other.

I feel deeply hurt by your comments Alanj. I have every right with the amount of money I have given this club over 40 years not just in all the cost involved in watching a match, but with helping behind the bar at Sandy Lane, sponsering and placing an advert for my company over many many years. I have every right to comment especially when someone posts on the members page 'as the season gets underway this site will become busier'. Alanj that is not my comment it is the comment by a member and if it wasn't going to be the case then that comment shouldn't have been posted. So don't have a go at me.
Also what a brilliant comment you make' if you don't like it find another team'. Great we will be down to one man and his dog soon if that is you attitude.

Like you endo! I also get frustrated at the goings on at our club sometimes, but I do not feel that the constant postings of negatives on here, by various individuals, serve any purpose. Granted we all have a right to our point of view, but why not try a more positive approach, a little while ago Chris Woolley asked if somebody else wanted to take over the running of the members club, surely that is the way to try and get changes, from within. We all want to see our club enjoying success, but my personal thoughts are that posting negatives on here can only be detrimental to the club and do not serve any good.
Offline
I can understand every single frustration on here but what there has to be is common ground. leaning towards the members club and agreeing that they do a very good job is deluded. I re-iterate what I said previously what do they do other than the club shop, which I think Tim does a great job. what else? The answer is nothing. they pomp around at every game with a complete and utter facade of importance which is quite sorry to see. Woolley and the like would offer that position out only if it fell back in their lap did you not see the procedure for it? it was a joke. i think it was bolty who asked the question about an ex employee being considered for the post and it was struck down with some pathetic answer which went against a previous appointment that of being 'no ex employee will be considered and blah blah. well if that isn't scieving out the competition i don't know what is. it is and will remain a closed shop. Adkins would never deal with anyone with a superior intellect than his own which is the reason the club is fucked. he pulls all the strings and will kill the club trust me on that one. there are no negative postings on here they are all REAL and the only people who cant see it are the pro-members club delusional. tell us what the members club do and maybe a debate can start to bed on common ground. please tell us what they do and what their purpose is.
Offline
endo are you kidding? the dichotomy created here is done by the club and its internal gears and no other entity. if you are looking for fans to put time and money in to the club after having £1.25 million of 3g surfaces installed and there is no money for craig tanner to run a first team squad with the only dichotomy created is the blind or the wide awake. ask yourself where the money coming into the club from the 3g surfaces is going and then when the lights stop after mike reid shouts 'run around now' if you still find yourself standing in that sector i want to know what your rationale for that is ane what it is based on. abovethebench is spot on.

I'm not really arguing about the state of the club. We are at a low ebb, there's no doubt. And we can all point fingers at people who made decisions in the past including the members club, going back to John Buffoni and even before that. But we are where we are now, and blaming people for earlier decisions is pointless. Of course you can blame people, but what does it achieve?
So the club is where it is and unless you are going to buy Steve Adkins out then you are left with 2 options. You can either try do do something to help turn the club's fortunes around or you can just leave it to others.

The state of the club is at rock bottom. The support is the lowest for many years. It is only a surprise that we still have the same manager going by previous seasons. This club is a complete mystery. Did not Bill Hill try and change things and look at what happened to him. Did not someone try and by the club and the price quoted was absurd. Mr Adkins will not let go of this site but he would love to let go of the football team. He is doing a good job in getting rid of the supporters, I wonder what trick he has up his sleeve to finally get rid of T&M for good.
We are where we are and nothing can be done about it in spite of what some postings might suggest. Also have you noticed how few postings we get now. It's going from bad to worse.
Lets hope for a pick me up against Hastings.
Offline
I would like to make a suggestion, why don`t we, instead of spending so much time with the blame game! try and do some thing positive, although I am still working I do have some spare time that I am sure can be put to some good for the sake of the club, why don`t we all sit in the bar at the next home game, or those of you who are going, at Hastings, this coming Saturday, to come up with ideas to help the club.
If people are really serious about wanting to do something positive, now is the chance! And I count me in that last statement.
Offline
I really don't want to be negative but whatever good scheme we come up with Mr Adkins will step in and kill it off. Sorry but he pulls all the strings, and he does own the club, and whatever we have to suggest he won't go along with. Bill Hill tried hard and look what happened.
I am afraid us supporters are just a pain in the back side to Mr Adkins.

ENDO, ATB, ALANJ - you dont know how refreshing it is to hear that, after 3 years of forums there is mutual common ground. well done us I suppose and I agree that the blame game has to stop and we are all of the same common knowledge too. but now what to do? I don't want to get all political but I think there are grounds at theFA for an ethical stance is there not? how come football foundation and sport england can fund something like the 3g pitches but then the club dies as a result of the extra income? that cant be right surely. which companies in the joke of a structure gets the income? or am i piddling in the wind? then lets be proper pains in the backside

Why can`t people just think of the club, you know that team that we all turn up for, rain or shine, good times or bad, and just concern themselves with helping the club move forward, once again, for fear of repeating myself, let us put our energy into something positive for once, and forget all the negativity.
Offline
I seriously admire your loyalty I really do. but its one thing supporters busting their nuts to support a club like you say through thick and thin and rain or shine. a lot of other clubs would love the support that we showed in the past. but what happens when the club turns its back on the supporters and filters money through itself to non football ends and still demands more from you? its not negativity its clearing the decks and moving forward. we cant help the club move forward if we are blocked at every turn. no one at the club gives a hoot to what we think, do or say.

From your comments "Bog End" I take it "your out"
Offline
Not out, identifying what you or anyone else would be up against should you try and inject any initiatives into a failing club which is a dictatorship.

The constant problem is that there is no club, it does not exist.
There is Mr Adkins property company and a team that bears the name of a former club on whose back and the earnest endeavors its fans he has obtained grants and built a valuable asset.
We are where we are and the past is past but if you think it helps the 1st XI by as much as 1p if you take up any of the exciting opportunities for volunteering, or by handing over your cash to the hub/urspace/tmcsc/whatevershellco you really should ask to see the accounts before you go suggesting it.

I Quote from “ Above the Bench,” who seems to be a true 110% Terror supporter, and only one off a rapidly dying breed.
“I really don't want to be negative but whatever good scheme we come up with Mr Adkins will step in and kill it off. Sorry but he pulls all the strings, and he does own the club, and whatever we have to suggest he won't go along with. Bill Hill tried hard and look what happened.
I am afraid us supporters are just a pain in the back side to Mr Adkins.”
Well summed up in two sentences, would anyone want to be involved with this fiasco of a Football except the “Loon Heads” and the Mr Pickwick’s of this world!
Get the true story from Bill Hill, if ever comes off the fence, and all l the other “Good People” who have left the club over the last few years would have a lot to say as well.
You then get stupid comments like
“If it as bad as you say, why not find another team to support!”
Sadly, long time Terror supporters have voted with their feet at the shambles that has been gradually rolling out over the last few years, and they will never return. We are now left the ”Die Hards the Die Hards!” There is an aged support base, a dying Football Team, with a lack of ambition in all directions. Let the Football Team “Die in Peace.” Every fan that is left standing is like Gold Dust, we need someone to turn the lights out.
Any Fan with even lump of dough for a brain realises what has happened to this truly great Football Club, built by the local community. It should just be allowed to Fold, its shelf life has expired, let the current incumbent get on with his motives and ambitions for developing the site, It’s already lost part the designated Football Ground.
“Bog End Rebel”, I like your efforts to get a meeting going to discuss the situation, and the views you wish to discuss, which causes you concerns. Alan J, is entitled to his views which is good for debate. However, Just because AJ does not like BER’s posting, he responds with a message “ From your comments "Bog End" I take it "your out" Truly unbelievable, no wonder this Football Club is a disaster! For all of your valiant efforts a meeting is a complete waste of time, unless you can find a wealthy backer to take over the whole place, and has ambitions to promote the Football Team.
The Whole Football Club “Is up a creek without a paddle.”

Well said Milkem. There have been some good people at this club so good that they have been told to go. We have had average support for the team but this over the last couple of years is now down to as you say the die hards. This is exactly what Mr Adkins wants Yet another excuse for winding down the club for good. He has already done a good job.
We are all entitled to our opinions but comments like if you don't like it find another club beggars belief. If we all did this then it would be job done for our beloved leader.
