There's life in the old dog yet Mike. Our dwindling support hasn't disappeared forever it's just lying latent, Stockport County wasn't that long ago, in excess of 400 in whippet country aint bad.
Granted, we are at the mercy of our less than generous benefactor Mr.Adkins but I truly can't believe people don't turn up because he's in charge, it's the consequent lack of success on the pitch that keeps people away. The support aint dead, it's dormant.
Hands up, I am the proverbial ostrich with my head buried firmly in the sand. I will leave the politics to others and hopefully when the 'Rebels' triumph our quiescent support will once more rise like a Phoenix.
It's not all doom and gloom either, that Guernsey game the other night was the best game of football i've seen all season, live or televised.
Come on Tooting, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Or should that be 'Who doesn't kill us' ???

In truth gents... Football at this level is dying a slow death all over the country. Look at the crowds in our league and the rest of the Rymans leagues.. Not good is it. Our away support must be one of the best going. Been to a few games when we must of had at least a third of the supporters there.
Non league football has been going downhill crowd wise for years. Children locally are more likely to grow up supporting Liverpool or either of the Manchester clubs because of Sky TV and the press coverage of the Premier League than TMUFC. The little man wears his kit everywhere and people around here think he's in a bloody Newcastle shirt.
We get lots of local kids playing and training on the plastic pitches.... Someone should look at dishing out tickets or passes for games. Anthony fell in love with the club on his first visit... Maybe others will as well.
Bog End Ultras is spot on about our lying latent fan base.... I know so many people who still have a soft spot for the club after going when they were young. A bit more promotion about games and we could get some back.
In many respects we are far better off than many other clubs.

The only marketing the club gives out is the signs outside the gate that say who the next opponent at home is. their is nothing to entice the kids in. even crystal palace are putting on dwindling kids sessions down there so why don;t tm united do it? where does the money for the 3g pitches go? thats what i want to know. there is no impetus at that club at all at any level. the main concern there is how to get the facility worth more money so it can be sold. the function room is being extended there how? with what money? money from the pitches? the extending of that room does not fill any of the football club coffers but the money for it clearly comes from the 3g pitch usage. that is what the problem with the club is. nothing else. adkins and watkins has to go or the club dies. simple fact.
