A massive thank you for the welcome that everyone gave me, my wife and Craig yesterday . From the moment i walked in and met Big Dave in the car park, Jackie on the turnstiles and Tim Marcus in the stand everyone made me feel really welcome . I hoped that this would be the case and I wasn't disappointed. The offer from John and the committee to enjoy a cuppa at half time and food after the game was gratefully accepted. Good to be welcomed by everyone I always feel like its coming home to Tooting when i walk in. Of course the result going our way made it even more pleasurable because Chipstead , another family and welcoming club, need the points badly!
I felt that Tooting huffed and puffed a bit and didnt have enough variation to open Chipstead and perhaps Chips wanted it a bit more for a variety of reasons!!. Appeared also Craig and Adam have learned from experiences where the new management and some of their players didnt know how to win it (hope that not being over critical. AlanJ yes in relation to Chace i did think you had a bit of an early schniffter when he didnt quite meet your glowing report ....but seriously you could see his quality on the ball but what really impressed me also about him was that he was willing to put in a shift and challenge aggressively till the end no prima donna there management deserve some credit for finding the money to keep him!
I wish all the fans and committee the very best for the season you are safe and will now be able to use that heafty budget (quite surprised just how much more it differed from Craigs!!) and we will continue to look out for the results as always. Lastly ,sorry i keep thinking of things, felt sorry for the Academy boys yesterday ....must be frustrating for them to not get some of their boys in the line up now that Craig and Adam has left . Now that you cant get in the play offs or get relegated it could be an opportunity to encourage more boys from the local community to come to Tooting? A difficult balance to get I know. Thanks again .

It is always a pleasure to both see, and meet all of you, good luck for the rest of the season.
I feel certain that with the commitment your lads showed yesterday, we will be seeing you again next season, I certainly hope so as Chipstead is a very friendly ground to go to.
