What a farce!
It appears as if the comparisons some people make between Tooting and a park team bear an element of truth, can it get any worse?, I was really looking forward to tonight and now that pleasure has been taken away, not only from me but the other hardy souls who would have turned up tonight.
I hope the person who is responsible for this shamble`s has the decency to come forward and apologise, it really beggars belief.

Well I travelled to Whyteleafe tonight.
As did Precious (the only other T&M supporter I came across)
Perhaps not surprising as the embarrassed announcement on here from Andy was at 3.17 pm and I last checked the website at lunchtime.
No chance of a postponement with a 3G pitch I thought.
I don't have/use a mobile. But I do get group emails from 'Them Club' about Members Club things, 100 Club, stewarding etc. And most others clearly found out. And yet.........
Still, I really can't moan that much because, unlike Endo and Alan, I am not so horrified by the performance of our volunteers that I have offered to take on the role of overseeing player registration myself.

Will our voluntarily wandering off into the blizzard prevent sanctions from the Surrey FA ?
Will Godalming now be reinstated and the match against Whyteleafe rescheduled ? When we were booted out of the League cup Casuals were reinstated.
Has any team ever been eliminated from 3 cup competitions in the same season without losing a game or could we find ourselves in the Guiness Book Of Records ?
Was it (Ken) Barrington who was inedible against Godalming ?

I'll take a punt and go for Owen Roberts who joined us from Chips. Maybe he played in an earlier round for them.
As for the consequences, I believe that if you withdraw from the cup you are liable for a fine, but this is at the FA's discretion - and I don't think its a big fine. And normally, the way these things work themselves out, it would mean Godalming are reinstated.

Bondy - I don't think its the volunteers who look after registration - and I would do it if the person currently responsible is not competent enough or worse, not really bothered by the consequences.

Like you Endo I can not believe something as important as this would be placed upon a volunteer, surely they have enough on their plate as it is, if they are responsible for registrations then I will blame the club as surely something as important as this needs to be handled by a full time employee, not somebody who, without their free help we would not have a Saturday.
