The game against Harrow will take place on THURSDAY 10th March. However, the players will still turn up on Tuesday which should give us 48 hours to check their eligibility.

Unfortunately Cricket, most people at Imperial Fields are younger than me.
See you tomorrow, don`t forget your swimmer`s.
PS Tell Joe not to bring his mankini this time.

Sadly I will not be able to attend this match or sell programmes or even collect them from the printer during the afternoon of the match due to a previous motorsport commitment at the RAC Club - volunteers for replacement duties please form an orderly queue.
Offline
I can collect the programmes around 4pm after work, attend the game & sell them on Thursday 10th, if everyone happy with that?
Offline
I can also help if needed to collect the programmes if it takes the pressure off you.

Many thanks to Chris & Trevor - sorted now.

Well, I do love a challenge, and a bit of creative writing (ask Fretters about his birthday Whatsapp message from me, took from Canning Town to Barons Court to write and used 35% of my phone battery) but I don't think I should tempt myself......
"Good Evening everyone and welcome to Imperial Fields, on this London Senior Cup quarter final meeting with Harrow Borough. I am confident that you will enjoy this evening's spectacle, at the undisputed home of football, participating in the greatest competition in the world. Since 1882, this has provided the high point of the year for many folk. The feeling of greatness connected with this masterpiece of the sporting world. The feeling of being touched by the suns rays, from a force greater than we can comprehend, witnessing the competition steeped in history since that day in West Ham Park*. An evening so golden, filled with promise, the chance to raise the Victorian treasure held up high by generations of honest, skillful, loyal people who have dedicated their lives to live the moment, the moment of participating in the London Senior Cup. Win or lose, however many rounds the team sees, they are rewarded in their hearts that they have taken part in something unique and ultimately special........"
I shouldn't have wrote that, I feel a lump in the throat and a tear coming on
* - you know the funny thing? Where was the first time I met my now fiancee? Yes - at the gates at West Ham Park, E13, before I found out Upton Park had a pitch there way back when. Must have been an omen.........

Knackers. I was hoping London Bari would come up with a monumental challenge, or at least slip them a pre match curry laced with tranquilizers........

Well, it sounds it - reality is you *really* could have your cup of tea served by the warm, friendly face of Statto (as has happened if Bill or Geoff have a night off), there's inedible mush burgers from 'The Shak' and it'll be freezing knowing our British weather........but, it's the London Senior Cup, the finest competition known to man. I'll compensate in atmosphere - or the Wimpy I have in Morden before coupled with the four cans of Special Brew to be consumed too (another result for the current government - they've knocked the strength back from 9% to 8%......talking about responsible drinking*. All this means is the die-hards will buy another can to make up for it, conning the public into spending more..).........
* - Andy Harrup for PM. He wouldn't tolerate such measures.

Plumptious my old chum - your touching tome has already made its way in to the LSC programme as my "Guest Intro Writer of the Month" column ! Saves me another job - if you want to add to it please feel free just PM me and I'll do the honours.

Oh ****. Now realised I can't make this game either.
Just to cement my dinosaur status I've got tickets to see Rick Wakeman in Clayate that night.
Oddly, despite my vast collection of friends, nobody else wanted to come!
Thought I would be fine daring to do something else on a Thursday night.

Cosmic - Wakeman or the LSC ??? - no contest, LSC every time (he joked)

I think Rick Wakeman supports Brentford doesn't he ?
Offline
At one time Rick Wakeman was the chairman of Camberley Town before he moved abroad (Isle of Man)

Well.....let me start by apologising for the delay in answering to this - unfortunately even logging into the forum is something I am scraping to have time for these days (hence being on here at 00:22 on a Monday morning )
DeePee I didn't realise you were being serious - I was so chuffed when I saw the programme on Thursday - thank you so much! It really made my night to be at a London Senior Cup game with my own programme entry! I was really touched and you are a true gent, thanks ever so much again and hopefully we will meet soon at T&M, top stuff indeed
