Peacehaven's form since their budget was slashed and most of their senior players buggered off has taken something of a dip (to put it mildly). They've lost their last 13 league games on the spin, they've taken 3 points from the last 57 available, they have yet to muster a single point this calender year and they were recently thrashed 8-1 at Ramsgate where we triumphed on Saturday.
Having said all that, I remember a very similar thing happening to Croydon FC many years ago, they were having to field a virtual Sunday morning side and were regularly getting beat by 10, 12 or 14 goals. When we came to play them I was rubbing my hands together anticipating a goal fest for the Terrors. If my memory serves me correctly I think we scraped a narrow 2-1 win. I stand to be corrected (Ian ?)
My prediction for Saturday....Peacehaven & Telscombe 0 Tooting & Mitcham 0 that's the pessimist inside me

We did lose to Whitstable Town (and drew the other), so don't take anything for granted.

Bog End, Ian has just text me to ask me to let you know that the game in question in the 93/94 season was won by us by a scoreline of 7-0

Remember that season quite well as it was my first season supporting the Terrors

I told you it was close.
I'd settle for 7-0 on Saturday, actually, I'd settle for 2-1.
Croydon was the 93-94 Season we won 6 - 0 at home and 7 - 0 Away, which sounds good - but I remember walking away from the Croydon Arena dissapointed that we only got 7 when every other team was getting double figures!

Exactly my point DaveM it felt like an anticlimax (only) scoring 7.
Croydon ended up conceding 198 league goals that season. That's an average of only 4.7 goals per game but bear in mind they were a semi-proper team up until the point all their senior players pissed off and they started losing games 19-0 and stuff. Slight exageration.
