I think this brilliant goal has been largely ignored following the final result on Saturday. Who are is rivals for the goal of the season trophy?

It is going to be hard to top that one, such a shame that, as you say, the result overshadowed it.

I cheated and looked through a programme last night trying to remember a goal to rival Simmo's but there wasn't one. Cristiano Gonsalves/Neto's effort from the touchline against Met Police that sailed over the keeper into the top corner would have rivalled Simmo's strike if he had meant it, but he didn't, so that's the end of that debate.
Chace/Chance/Chase O'Neill wins Man Of The Match every other week and barring Jake Baxter scoring another 20 goals before the end of the season is going to win Player Of The Year by a country mile, so maybe he's got a Howitzer up his sleeve for Saturday's game against Guernsey. I do hope so.

I remember two rockets in the same game. Simpson and Robinson both hit 25 yarders against Phoenix Sports earlier in the season. Also, Pykes header at Dorking was a tremendous goal, but do headers win goal of the season?

Simeones goal I must admit was not bad considering it was with his right foot. It cancels out most of the goals that he has been at fault with.
