I am hoping to be at Imperial Fields for the Guernsey match. I haven't been able get to any of the matches in Guernsey but I have had many enjoyable holidays there and in the other Channel Islands. I was wondering therefore whether it would be possible for me to sponsor the match. I don't know exactly what the procedure is, but maybe someone reading this could put me in touch with the appropriate person.

Andy Mac and Dave Potter's band 'The DB5's' hope to be doing a gig in the bar after the Guernsey game if they can come to an arrangement with the management.
Me and Pottsy were befriended by a couple of Guernsey fans on our first trip to the island and they're coming over for the game. They are very excited about their trip as they very rarely make it to away games, if The DB5's get the go-ahead it could be the icing on the cake.
I'm sponsoring the MOTM award that day too, has the makings of a great day.
Look forward to seeing you too Mike, the 's are on me !!

Great idea Boggie.
But don't forget you will need to seek prior agreement from Statto that, no matter how crowded it is, he will not insist on using the dartboard that evening.
Under his strange rules the band would not fall under the 'footie' banner therefore should not be in the footie bar, no matter how much welcome income they bring in.

No worries on that score Bondy, I've already told him if he insists on using the dartboard while the band are on I'm going to stick a dart in each of his nostrils and Gypsy Joe is going to insert the other in his Jap's eye. That'll make his eyes water.

Unfortunately I am now on the sick list. Nothing too serious but enough to prevent me travelling down this weekend. I am, of course still sponsoring the match and I am sending Tim Marcus a separate private message.

You will probably have a bit of trouble selecting the man of the match, but can I suggest Serge Makofo who is long overdue for a blinder.

Oooh, can I have your seat in the Boardroom and free programme then ?

Yes - with the agreement of the Board and £100 donation!

I'll take a raincheck on that one
