Mike, you may already be aware but I thought I'd bring your attention to the fact that Harrogate won a regional award in The Sunday Times 'Best Places To Live Guide' a short drive up the A661 from you and home to your adopted football team.
The overall winner was Winchester in Hampshire, the only reason I mentioned that is because I once ran a sub 3 hour Marathon there and I wanted to blow my own trumpet .
The Sunday Times Guide to the worst places in the World to live were in descending order......Baghdad, Pollard Road, The Black Hole Of Calcutta and Tilbury.
P.S. Hope you are feeling much better mate.

Wondered why I felt so at home when we visited Tilbury last year. It all makes sense now!

No 59er, the survey was about the worst places to live and Pollards Hill was deemed uninhabitable. Pollard Road is an intimidating area near the ground, not the sort of place you'd go after dark.
How's Australia mate ? It's a cup of cocoa and some Timtams at bedtime I assume ?
