Histon relegated to our level
If you remember, Histon had a meteoric rise from county football up to 3rd place in the conference where they missed out on promotion in the playoffs. They managed 3 championships and 5 promotions in just 11 seasons, including a run to the 3rd round of the cup where they beat Leeds along the way. Well their fall from grace looks to be equally dramatic.with their 3rd relegation in 6 seasons and will now play their football at step 4, the same as us.

There is a very occasional (once or twice a season) Tooting fan called Nick Shaw who is Leeds United mad. He was at that Histon game and told me it was the most humiliating experience after they'd lost to drive past the village green with it's quaint duck pond. The once mighty Leeds beaten by a Cambridgeshire village team.
