Does anyone else remember Polish Bill from the Sandy Lane days ? I think he worked for Southwark Council and he was a latter day DaveM in that he was a regular who always brought his young daughter along to games. He was a tall, slim built bloke with fair hair who would stand on the Bog End when we attacked that end of the ground. One game he didn't show up which was most unusual and I commented to the group I was stood with "Polish Bill isn't here today", Dean, one of our group who was/is an Arsenal fan so therefore a bit of a doughnut said "Why do you call him Polish Bill ?" I said " I'm not sure exactly, I think it might be because he's Polish and his name's Bill " I wonder where he is now and if he still looks out for our results.
