Or at least new interpretations of the laws.
Probably the main ones that will have fans' squealing is the one where denying a goalscoring opportunity which results in a penalty will only earn the offender a yellow card. And also, it won't be compulsory for a player receiving treatment as a result of a yellow carded foul to leave the field.

When Dave Irons saw this he texted me to say he thought the authorities had missed a great opportunity to introduce a law that allowed the 5th and 6th officials to actually get involved in the game !
In all seriousness I would personally like to see a scheme introduced whereby a team can play their Joker ( I don't mean having Charlie Emery in the starting line up ) ala 'Jeux Sans Frontieres' or 'It's A Knockout' for the Brexiteers amongst you, meaning a team can double the points they earn in the game. Maybe even allow 2 Jokers per season, one to be played in a home fixture and one in an away game. A fixture between 2 teams involved in a relegation scrap where they both play their Joker would then be known as ' A real 12 pointer'. I quite like the idea of seeing John Terry or Wayne Rooney walking out with a giant playing card under their arm to present to Mark Clattenburg before the toss up.
I'd also like to see a rule introduced that outlaws short corners meaning any corner kick that isn't delivered directly into the penalty area is punished with an indirect free kick to the defending side on the half way line.
