That means that apart from O'Neill, Barrington and Makofo, we have retained the whole team that finished last season. So the management can have few complaints on that score, and now its over to them to bring in the new players that will hopefully blend in with the current group and improve the 1st team results.
There have been a few new guys who have been involved in nearly every game so far - Karembo, Henry, Smith-Joseph & Bassett. Whether you can read anything into that, I don't know.
Then we have a few new guys who we know can play at this level - Roberts, Rowe, Thompson & Dunn. And there are also 2 or 3 brand new faces in the squad for tonight. That's quite a big group, but I don't think the manager will rush to cull the squad down to 16 or 17 players. I think he'll try to run with the large group for a few weeks and maybe shed players 1 at a time.
