Incidentally we are on a 9 game winning streak in these minor cups!

Hmm - a little bit of knock back as we were well beaten by a well drilled Staines.  We were afforded very little space in midfield and were continually harried into returning possession to them.  Their first 2 goals came as a result of relentless pressure rather than mistakes.  To our credit, we managed to carve out 2 or 3 chances towards the end of the 1st half during our best spell of the game.  Maybe if we had put one away we may have been able to exert a bit more pressure in the 2nd half.  As it was, we presented them with a 3rd and they comfortably saw the game out.  Again, to our credit, we tried to push forward, but we were limited to solo runs and speculative long rangers.  And although Hall hit the bar with one of these pot shots, and then Wilson hit the bar in injury time, that would have only papered over the cracks in a game where we struggled to string 3 passes together in midfield.

But I got home and had a quick glance at the league table before I went to bed and I;m already looking forward to Saturday.
