The Back Post
1. We need to defend the back post on opposition corners and free kicks. We have leaked many goals over the last two seasons by allowing opposition players to just stand there and tap/ head the ball in unopposed.
2. We need to have a player on the back post when we are awarded corners and free kicks. The amount of times over the last two seasons that the ball has been over hit, headed back or tapped back by the keeper with no one there to tap it in normally leaving one of our players to have to chase it or watch it go into touch.

Ev, I have been going on about the far post for years. You need somebody there preferably someone who is not to clever in the air, someone like Bassett. By having someone there would also create space in & around the penalty spot. When I am behind the goal after the stint in the teabar, you would always hear me shouting at players to get to the far stick from set pieces.

Alan, when did you last stand behind the goal at Imperial Fields. I have never seen you there and I do encourage players to get to the far post when we get corners. The referee these days dont get much from me only that I call them by their first name so when they see who it was calling them I give them a wave. I am truly sorry that you think I am so bad.

Our corners have been rubbish for years. I suggest we position our players one near post, one far post, one on the penalty spot, one by the opposite corner flag and one by the tea bar.
