At the risk of putting the hex on things, I think 10 games unbeaten from the start of the season is the best we've ever done.
Offline
I've been informed by a well known club historian that in 1994-95 we went 12 games unbeaten from the start of the season. However, things fell apart a bit for Trevor Ford's men as we lost 13 of the next 30 and ended up 8th.

Here`s hoping we do not have a repeat.

That's put the kiss of death on that then !

Sam busy baking. Terrified if she doesn't bring cakes and we lose, that she'll get the blame!

Tooting will win comfortably tonight.
I watched Molesey play last week and they looked like a pub team.
I predict the score will be 0- 7 to Tooting.
Lewington was blowing after 10 mins.
Two nil down after about 30 mins both goals direct from free kicks.... #FFS

Our Achilles heel!

Lost 2-1..... can we please stop comments about pub teams and easy wins due to the opposition playing 15 year old goal keepers etc....
Now second... Dorking top on goal difference thanks to a late winner against Carshalton.

Very disappointed with the result but not overly disappointed with the
performance. They didn't even get into our box in the first half but having a 2 goal lead Molesey showed great tenacity to hold on. We spent 90% of the game on the attack so I suppose you could say that we were a bit indecisive in and around the box. Add a little bit of bad luck into the mix and an outstanding goalkeeping performance and it just wasn't our night.
It reminded me of the Cadette days when we seemed to come up against the new Gordon Banks every other week.
A defeat isn't the end of the world but we really need to beat Hythe if we aren't going to waste our good start.

As so often, I'm with you Endo.
We absolutely battered the 10 men behind the ball but came second. Loads of good chances created.
Unlucky not to get at least a draw.
Not too much harm done. Certainly nothing that beating what looks a strong Hythe side with games in hand would not put right.
Re my previous comments, good interplay tonight from our two wide players.
I thought Carlo had a fantastic first half. And at times they had not one, not two, but three players lined up to prevent Taureen going on a mazy run.
Did you note the strength of our bench tonight?
Quincy Rowe for the defence, Lee Hall and the returning Robbo for midfield and Matt Price plus Danny Bassett as strikers. And that is without Leon and the injured Tennie.
Real pressure on starting places and players who can come on and make a real difference.
Fantastic.
Lastly, interesting to see the ref calling the captains together for a long, long chat before the restart.
Perhaps it went something like this:
'Look lads, I know I completely lost it towards the end of the 1st half and made all sorts of odd decisions. I've had a cup of tea to settle my nerves but if you could ask your players not to shout at me or make any tackles that would be appreciated. I'll try and do better. Thanks'

We have got to learn to give away less freekicks unnecessarily. Simmo giving away one in the first minute just outside the box was completely needless. Whether it was a freekick may be another topic altogether.
Matte made a howler for the 2nd goal, should be stopping that. But again can't fault his contribution so far this season. It says a lot about how we played that that was virtually his only two saves that he had to make all game.
Good performance for a lot of the game, but we lost the game in the first 20 minutes with bad decision making and errors.
Jordan was again dangerous in the last 20 minutes when he was pushed further up the pitch, I'd really like to see him start further forward. I wouldn't mind shifting Sol PB across to RB, start Quincy and Simmo in the centre.
Matt Price again proved what a useful impact sub he can be.
Unless Danny Bassett was injured I think he was unlucky not to start. Dixon did OK but lacks the confidence and technique. Maybe that'll come.
Roll on Sat, let's get back to winning ways!

I made the mistake of travelling there expecting to come home with 3 points. I didn't even say it out loud so I presume the footballing gods even know what I'm thinking.

I went to game hopefully but worried.Thats how it should, take nothing for granted. Its not that we played badly, just that 2 goals was just beyond us.No one is going to give us points,we have to earn them.We had chances, but missed them apart from Price's one late on.Lets go again Saturday.still say we need right back, maybe be saying this for long time.I want to say how well Bash is playing at left back.He just gets on with things.

I also went into this game fully confident of picking up 3 points. And I haven't felt that for several years (apart from Guernsey last week).

I think that this might turn out to be a topsy-turvy season. Who would have thought that East Grinstead would put 4 past Walton Casuals last night? Guernsey continue to put right their poor start to the season.
Could this be a season where there is no one team is set to dominate?
Offline
Ev, did you mean Guernsey? after all they were at home, which due to the travel situation can be a help, likewise, away for them can be a negative. East Grinstead put four past South Park away.

That'll teach me to put my reading glasses when I have my contacts in. I might just be able to read what is on the screen and type something sensible in the future
