Re: Chatham

2-7 with minutes to go even the fact that they drew the second half ...its a team who were below us !!! still Adkins after consulting with the experts on the committee will no doubt back the manager....afterall its only 3 months into the season ...gotta give the bloke a chance ...afterall they gave Tanner and Moriarty 2 seasons ...doh!!

Re: Chatham

Was so disgusted tonight, I retreated to the bar when number four bulged the net. Just couldn't bear to watch anymore of that drivel. Too painful for words. Fair play to the hardy souls who stayed to the bitter end!!!

Got this weekend off. Weekends off for me normally mean watching the Terrors. But is it really worth the effort to venture to South Park  on Saturday to watch something similar to tonight. Might just sit in a pub watching the goals fly in against us on the Ryman League vidiprinter!!!!!

A sad night to be a Terrors fan!!!!!!!

Re: Chatham

Ok Gary, that really does prove you were not at the game for even most of the first half because the keeper, although he made a couple of good saves , was directly  responsible for two of their goals and generated much of the uncertainty and nervousness that then unfolded in front of him.
Very poor performance and he would be high on my list to go.
Why was that change of keeper even made?

Re: Chatham

Interestingly, from that game, only Simeone and Baxter are still with us - and they won't be playing Tuesday. So probably the players haven't got any particular scores to settle from that point of view.  I think Paul Dale was there on the night, but I don't think he had been officially unveiled.  But it couldn't have been a great night for Frank Wilson.

I think I said at the time, he conducted a bit of a post match chat on the pitch after the game and I was convinced he was throwing the towel in.  But he responded pretty well under the circumstances.  He made some root and branch changes fairly quickly and of course we ended up playing some good football later on in the season.

As we all know, he is learning on the job, and from that nadir, I would say we have made steady progress.
I described it at the time as our worst ever result and it still gives me nightmares.  I really want the team to banish those memories tomorrow night!
