Re: Match Thread - Chatham Town

I missed last night (train problems). But it sounds like it was a game which is typical of this season. Mistakes, certainly, but fantastic entertainment. I, for one, am certainly enjoying the attacking way we are playing. The future's bright in black and white stripes. Roll on Saturday.

Re: Match Thread - Chatham Town

To set the record straight, I, and no doubt countless other fans, am extremely pleased with our started to the season, delighted you could say.

A part of human nature and the human physche is to always strive for greater, to be better than the day before, to grow (for most people anyhow). So when I lament our lack of ability to keep a clean sheet (not even close with 3 conceded), it is said in full respect and context of understanding that we are an excellent side at the moment and brilliant to watch. If only we conceded less and we would be EVEN BETTER.

But make no mikstake that we are greatly entertaining right now and with a good chunk of the season gone, looking promising. I am very happy with what I am watching. Roll on Saturday.

P.s. For the poster who asked where they think billy plays...for my 2cents he is playing mainly as a no. 10 for us, in effect behind the striker. And in that role really has a license to drop deep and come short or bomb towards the box. I think he plays the role well and leaves some of the dog work to our deeper lying midfielders (typically dines/robbo and Bennett).

Will be interesting to see who makes way for Chace. For my money and given Chace has a knock, I think the same 11 will start on Saturday with Chace as a sub. I feel sorry for whoever eventually drops out of the 11 for Chace generally speaking, but needs must and he is too good to be bench warming at this level.

What a strange old forum this is.

So, what do we get, unseemly bickering more akin to life in the playground - although I have to say the kids at school are better behaved (well, most of the time).

That God bloke/bird started it.
