After an indifferent display on Tuesday evening against Greenwich Borough, losing to late injury time goals at the end of each half, and a blatant penalty shout turned down. The Terrors continue on the road again this Saturday, and they travel to play 9th place Walton Casuals, who are temporary tenants at Whyteleafe this season, to play a plastic pseudo version of football!
After a near record run of undefeated games , the Terrors need to pick themselves up, and get on the their winning ways again. The team is not helped by the late transfer of striker Dunne to promotion rivals Greenwich. Also Tooting will be facing ex favourite Jordan Cheadle who can score with some powerful shots. Greenwich who have been splashing the money around this season are looking to achieve back to back promotion. They are making an investment to ensure this happens.
I assume Terrors boss Wilson has the situation under control, and will have the full financial backing of the owner to ensure our own promotion hopes are not lost! With half the season now gone and leading the Ryman South League, I am sure the "Powers who be" will not want to put our own promotion chances in jeopardy. The next 4 weeks are critical , the loss on Tuesday was only a small set back, but the previous form and results must be retained if we are not to be swallowed up by the ensuing pack.
I now understand we have now resigned striker Marcel Barrington from Margate which is a really good move if this has happened. Margate were splashing the Cash over the last couple of years, and have now almost gone Bankrupt, yet again. They have cleared out most of the team and are relying on youngster to fulfil their fixtures and avoid going bankrupt.
