At Walton Casuals last night. It finished Casuals 2 Godalming 3. Our conquerors on Saturday led through Sol Pinnock after 8 minutes and went in at the break 2 goals to the good. Bottom club Godalming, without an away win all season, did what we did on Saturday and came from 2 down to level the scores. However, Godalming did what you're supposed to do when you're in the ascendancy and won it in the 88th minute with a goal from Matthew Price. Does anyone know if that's our Matty Price ? I thought he went to Dorking Wanderers.
The attendance was 34 (Thirty Four).....Our U21's get more than that !

Think that it is "our" Matty Price. A post on the Godalming Forum poetically describing him scoring the
winning goal includes "blond hair flapping gently in the night breeze"!

Reminds me of the time I went to Redbridge v Erith & Belvedere on a freezing Tuesday night in 2014. Just checked the Ryman archive, it was Tues 20th of March and the attendance was 26. Though I only counted 24.....and the only goal was an own goal on the part of 'The Deres' which saw Redbridge win 1-0
Funny that really as we will be seeing Erith & Belvedere next Tuesday! Fretters (who I saw last night) says he is not expecting a bumper attendance but it should be a bit better than 26 (you would hope)......the own goal would be something though......

Remember the Redbridge v Tooting LSC match when Antonio got a few - Only 34 or so in the crowd - most of them being Bog Enders and Bondy - It snowed all night, miracle it was on and a miracle we got back home afterwards. Wonder if Redbridge ever put a roof back on their clubhouse bar and loos ?

Thanks for that memory DeePee. I do indeed remember that night.
The Bog Enders stood in what little shelter was provided behind the goal and I bravely stood on the unprotected sideline. For a while at least.
But I had certainly forgotten that Mr Antonio played that night.
I suspect it has slipped from his memory as well. I'll remind him when next he comes round for supper.
